Which one of the following ████ ██████████ █████████ ███ ████ █████ ██ ███ ████████

a

The theme of ███ ████████ ███ ████████████ ██████ ██ ███████ ███ ██████ ████ █████████ █████████ ██ ██████████████ ██████ ███ ████ █████ █████ ███ ████████ ██████████ ███ ███████

This best captures the main point, which is that Allen has used his films to criticize those who are obsessed with art. The author uses several examples of films throughout Allen’s career to demonstrate this point.

b

Woody Allen's films ████████ ██ █████ ██ █████ ██████████ ██ ████████ ████ ███ ███████ ██ ██ ████████ ████ █████ ██ ███████████ ███ ████ █████████ ██ ████ █████ ████████ ██ ███ ███████████

The way that Allen’s characters are more likely to be happy if they are less artistic is used to support the broader point that Allen’s films criticize artists. (B) is very close to capturing the point of the last paragraph, but this paragraph is just part of the support for the point made in the first paragraph. In addition, the overall point is about a theme in Allen’s works. The author doesn’t necessarily agree with Allen rgarding an artistic life and whether it can lead to unhappiness.

c

Deconstructing Harry , ████ ████ ██ █████ ███████ ██████ █████ ████ ███ ████████ ██ ███ ████████ ██████████ ██████ ████ ████████ ███████ ███ ██████ ██ █████████ ██ ████ ██ █████ ████████ ██ ██████ ████████ ██████

This doesn’t capture the author’s point that Allen uses his films to criticize artists. The point isn’t merely that Allen’s films shows that art requires sacrifice. It’s that Allen’s films show certain negative qualities of those obsessed with art.

d

The author doesn’t make any claims about what most artists do or whether Allen is like most artists in any way. So (D) can’t be the main point.

e

Woody Allen's films ████ ████ ███████ ███ ███████████ ████████████ ███ ████████ ███ ████ ████ ████ ███████ ██ █████ ████ ██ ███████ █████ ██ █████ ██████ ███ ██████

This doesn’t capture the author’s point that Allen uses his films to criticize artists. The point isn’t that Allen’s films show artists can produce powerful and beautiful works; this is too positive to capture the view of Allen toward artists.
