This is actually expected behavior, our recent update makes it so that ready-made drills started directly from the Analytics page (by question type) launch automatically with default settings.

If you'd like to fully customize your drills, you can do so by heading to the Drills page instead, where you'll have full control over the question count, timing, tags, and more.

@teresa952 By "ready-made," I mean the drills are pre-set and automatically generated based on the question type you select from the Analytics page. So instead of building one from scratch, the system creates the drill for you with default settings (12 questions, standard time or with your timing accommodation) so you can jump right in.

@Mary how do I change those default settings?

@teresa952 I'm afraid there's no option to change the default settings for drills launched from the Analytics page. However, if you'd like to customize your drills (such as the number of questions, timing, tags, or specific question selection), you can do so by heading to the Drills page and creating a custom drill based on your preferences.
