@EmilieRupprecht i emailed LSAC about it, as well as the new hide/unhide feature, and they told me they can't change it "due to the underlying structure of the new test driver platform" and "We recognize how strongly test takers feel about maximizing their time and focus during their test session, which is why we are publishing these resources now, so that August test takers can practice in the new UI and become comfortable with the features and how they work."
It's so frustrating because they made no mention of why these changes were made IN THE FIRST PLACE.

These UI changes are awful- and they try to ride the train of “accessibility” but accessing these features costs time/focus. So, these are actually holding those that need these features to a different standard than those that aren’t reliant on them. So by trying to make it more accessible and fair… you make it less accessible and fair. Got it.
Honestly, shame on LSAC for incorporating these useless, unnecessary, and time-consuming features. I personally see no benefit to them. If anyone reading this would like to voice their concerns, feel free to go to this link, select "LSAT Prep," and describe your frustration.
@jt8618 I think LSAC is oblivious to the fact that their tests don't allow enough time and thus don't allow any time for their "user friendly" features.
Wow how brilliantly intuitive! Why stop there, let's deduct a point every time you highlight something. While we're at it lets attach a shock collar to every test taker that triggers automatically every time you flag or go back to a question.
I very much appreciate the work that goes into making the 7Sage tester as identical as possible to the actual Law Hub interface. It makes a big difference and impacts my decision to continue subscribing to 7Sage.
@MorganLSAT Straight up. The hide answer feature is so much jankier now. And they had the gall to put the little “accessibility” symbol right next to the new, janky toggle 😑
I’m glad I can edit the font size and that theoretically the change means it’s harder to cheat (totally unclear on the mechanism for that prevention but whatever).
I stopped highlighting because of how bad the new (LSAC, not 7Sage) interface is and it actually helped me focus more on the passages. Task failed successfully.
Lol....and I thought the pervious changes were bad. This one takes the cake. Absolutely wretched for me and certainly many others, since I like to highlight as I read. Having to stop my flow in order to select the cumbersome highlight button will do nothing but waste time and cause people to lose focus. I'd guess LSAC is doing this purposefully to make people perform worse to keep scores lower.

I really hate the changes they made. The layout for the old UI was just fine. Why did they feel the need to add so many extra clicks?

They are literally doing everything to waste our time even more? like RC is already killing me this is not a good thing at all wow.

It seems like LSAC's trying to curb inflation through shitty interface, not through test itself. lol
Why let us easily hide and reveal answer choices when they can force an extra click on both ends? That'd be too simple!
