What's a normal prep week for you? I do T-Th-Sat, so I'm sticking with that and doing PTs tomorrow and Thursday. I want Saturday to feel like, as JY put it, "PT 73."

I have no expertise in this (first-timer) but I feel like as long as you're not adding to your workload you won't be overdoing it.

Hi all,

I'm looking for one or more study buddies who are scoring in the 170s on PTs and trying to get from great to near-perfect. I'm mostly in the 173-176 range right now, and plan to start studying "full-time" tomorrow for the September test. My GPA wasn't stellar, so I'm looking for a 178+ on the day of reckoning.

I love, love, love the analytics tools here, especially the strength and weakness charts, and think it would be really helpful to talk through questions with others of similar aptitude. (Necessary assumption: Some people have strengths where I have weaknesses, and vice versa!)

Is anyone interested?

Do you have a routine before your PTs? The last few weeks I've done the exact same thing before each PT - wake up at the same time, leave the house at the same time, egg sandwich, two iced teas, etc. Yesterday, I just woke up, ate some cereal and started in on PT 68. It went TERRIBLE. But today I went back to my routine and did well on PT 69.

When I started out I had a similar issue - my tests were between 173 and 176 and I had no idea what my real ability level was because it seemed so arbitrary. The analytics tool here helped me tremendously, though. Look at the ones you got wrong and figure out - are they the hardest questions, or are they easy? If you're missing easy questions, why? Did you think you got them right or were they ones you struggled with?

If you're like me, the inconsistency stems from reading errors that cause you to misinterpret a stimulus, a rule or a question. Slow down, make sure you're reading accurately, and suddenly the only ones you miss are ones you genuinely struggled with. Then from there you can shore up your weaknesses.

Does anyone have experience with or advice for a long wait between check-in and the start time of the test? I'm expecting issues due to a bunch of road closures near my testing center because of a marathon in the same area. I've been practicing getting up at 6:30 and taking a test at 9, but now I'm wondering if I should practice getting up at 6:30, staring at a wall for an hour and taking a test at 10, ha.

I'm mainly concerned with keeping up my intensity for a long period of time without my iPod or total freedom of movement.
