For many schools, sure. You just have to request that they "complete" your application as is and review it now. Many schools will do this if you request it. Hang in there, retaking is so worth it!
@ thank you for responding! I have not- I certainly will! I will check out their alumni on LinkedIn and see how many are in Michigan!
@ Indeed! Thanks for responding!
@ if I can get my LSAT up even just 3 points in Nov, I will totally apply! Thanks for responding!
@ thanks again for responding and the great advice! I will definitely be studying for those 3-4 points until Nov test day!
@ Thanks for responding! I will certainly keep working on studying before the Nov test! I haven't, I will check them out. Thank you!
Congratulations- that is so great! Thank you for the inspiring story for all of us studying rn! Best of luck at Northwestern!
Thanks so much, @! I appreciate the response!
Hello,
I scored a 165 on the June 2018 LSAT and at first was happy to pair that with my 3.94, but then realized the difference even just 3 points higher could make. Hence, I'm retaking in November and was hoping someone might be able to provide some pointers with improving RC & LR score. To explain my situation and provide context:
Started studying in January for June 2018 LSAT. Out of college- work full-time so limited time to study each week.
Read, annotated, and reviewed Powerscore Bibles. After reading the Bibles and taking my first PT, I hit 162
I then focused for a whole month on drilling LG with 7Sage and consistently started to hit -0/1. I LOVED 7Sage's method for attacking LGs.
After mastering LG and then isolating the LR Question Types that I kept missing (Flaw of Reasoning+PR Qs), I started to hit 169 regularly from May-June on practice tests.
Come June 2018 LSAT, I scored a 165. I bombed the Scientific Reading passage and ran out of time on the Comparative Reading passage. Also, on each LR section two of the problems I missed were one of the first six problems. Interestingly, I never miss a problem in the 20s.
Any advice for improving on RC and those early LR questions? Any strategies that work for you particularly well?
My path to success, as I see it, is to get RC down to -2, keep LG down to -0/-1, and get each LR section down to -3 then I'm golden. My goal score would be 169. Thank you in advance for the advice! I really appreciate it and good luck in destroying the LSAT!
@ thank you!
I don't have any experience with this, however, I would keep calling and send the email. Less than a week out they really should have this confirmed for you. Additionally, I would bring a copy of your Accommodation Confirmation Letter with you so if you show up test day and they don't have your accommodations setup, you can talk with the Proctor about how to proceed and call the LSAT Monday morning. Best of luck.
Does anyone know when registration for July 2019 test opens? Thank you!
No recommendations, I just want to say keep up the good work and stay the course! I retook in November and earned the same score I received in June- 165. So I'm probably going to retake in March too.
I think taking the March LSAT is intelligent, because there is only an upside: you earn a higher LSAT score and get more $$$. Let's keep each other accountable and our spirits high!
Super inspiring! Congratulations and thanks for sharing your story! I'm trying to gear up for a third take and this is super helpful!
@ thank you!
@ thank you for the advice! I had contacted this school's admissions office back in August and they suggested I applied then, which I did. So thankfully I should be hearing back from them shortly. Yes, to try to get some more scholarship $$, I think I will! Cannot hurt!
I'm above all the GPA medians and at the LSAT median for my dream school.
Hello,
So I just received my November LSAT score back and I am pretty disappointed: I got a 165, again. I took the LSAT for the first time and scored a 165 on the June 2018 administration.
Now, part of the reason I am pretty disappointed is because I felt really good about the November test and spent months studying with 7Sage. So this has me thinking: Is it worth taking it again in the Spring (to try to increase scholarships) or should I just accept 165 is my limit? I'm guessing it would look bad to have three LSATs all with the score of 165.
For more info, I have a 3.9+ GPA. The breakdown of November's test is:
-0 LG
-2 LR Section
-7 LR (all these were Question 16 and onward. I've never done so poorly before on a LR section. I don't know what happened.)
-8 RC (again, I've never done so poorly before on a RC section..)
My normal practice test score was a 169 and BR was a 174. Should I give it another go or just accept the 165 as a good indication of my ability? Is 3 times taking the LSAT too much? Thanks for your help and congratulations to everyone who did well on the November administration!
I also worked on Capitol Hill for a couple years and had my direct supervisor rather than Member write the letter. I'd recommend that! It was more detailed, littered with actual examples to back up statements, etc.
