While mapping out my study plans for the LSAT I read somewhere that reading The Economist and the New Republic were good supplementary materials to prep materials. I read both diligently but I saw even more RC improvement once I started incorporating the New Yorker into my study plan. Their articles are very dense and it can be difficult to keep the information straight. Really forces you to concentrate on what you're reading. Another added benefit is their articles run the spectrum of subjects - could be pop culture, politics, history or science. This was tremendously helpful to me and I hope it helps someone else.

Can anyone please confirm that G2 was silver/gold and G3 was 12-weeks? Thanks in advance!
That's how it was on my exam.
I can't remember my first game either but I don't recall it being about delivery. All I can remember is it was a 6 piece sequence. Had T-N P-S. L before M. N couldn't be between SM. If this is too detail please let me know. Obviously I paid more attention to the rules than the subject matter.
The amount of coughing and runny noses in my test center was very distracting. lol everytime someone coughed it would break my concentration and "I'd stop to think why wouldn't you just stay home?"

Gold silver vases

Did anybody think the Hindu/Roman reading comp passage was overly difficult? I had one of WTF moments after reading about the Hindu stuff. I was hoping that was experimental. Sigh.
I definitely thought that was difficult. Patriotism vs family loyalty or something. I couldn't follow the Indian part.
I don't recall the French language game. I had only one game section and it definitely had the gold silver pieces but my first one I can't remember the topic. It was a 6 piece sequencing game and n couldn't be between SM. That's all I remember unfortunately
I bombed the games. I had no freaking clue how to set up that 12 camp sequencing one. I was like wtf what is this omg JY what do I do
How can you guys tell which sections are official? I had 2 RC sections. One had bees and the other was about self portraits. The self portraits was the first one. Dang I wish that was the official one. I had plenty of time to check my answers. The other I had to guess the last few.
I have already spent a fortune on lsat prep for naught. I took the dec 16 test and did horribly. This time around I got the powerscore bibles and supplement materials and did their crash course. In the midst of all this I found 7Sage. I wish I found this from the start. I'm going to purchase the ultimate course some time in March and plan to sit for the June test for my last attempt at the lsat. Even using the free resources my understanding has increased exponentially so I know June I'm gonna to nail the LSAT! Good luck, girly!
Is it a requirement for the school you are applying to that you submit a resume? If you've only worked part-time maybe just skip it. Your work or volunteer experience doesn't have to be law related so don't fret about that. I guess the resume will give the admission counselor an idea of what you've been doing since undergrad. I think what a good LSAT score, strong personal statement and good reference letters you will be just fine.
They do not make you empty your pockets. Best to put the chopstick in the plastic gallon bag. Where I took my lsat they had a place where you could hang your coat. You couldn't bring it in the test room.
Thanks to this community I've improved my RC and logic game scores tremendously, yet for some reason my AR score has gone down. That was the section that I was strongest in. I'm supposed to sit for the Feb test Saturday but I think I'm going to parlay that into writing for the June one instead. I was still planning to take June anyway, but was going to take Feb since I was already registered. My husband said he thinks taking the test Saturday is still a good idea, for practice reasons, but I don't want to chance it. I was devestated after receiving my Dec score and I read here that the day of score could be lower than PTs when you account for day of jitters etc. it's just that I'm older than most of you tenderonis and cannot afford another year of waiting. sigh I have to remind myself it'll be worth the wait.
I've been lurking on most of the threads since I'm still kind of a newbie but seems like the regulars/pros say it's a bad idea. But with that said, im going to do one probably Tuesday or Wednesday.
Game, LR, LR, RC and an expiramental RC thrown in! I'm ready to slay whatever the order may be!
When I watch the videos I can follow the sequence but when I take a practice test I can set up the game fine but can't make the inferences and waste a lot of time. The struggle!

Did anyone else feel like the LR was especially easy?? This is the third time I've taken the LSAT and I was shocked by the LR section.
I thought the LR was easy too but I'll see once the scores are released. I had a hard time with the children beaker expanding question. That stumped me for sure.
