This is happening to me lately. I don't know if it was the fact that earlier tests are easier to me or what. I went from mid 160s to hitting 170s, once a 179. Now I have started taking PT 50+ and I am back down to 160s barely over my original average. I have been studying like a crazy person as well. Have you recently switched to newer PTs? It seems they are different enough to through people off.

I have taken all of my PTs in a local cafe. Heaps busy and lots of noise, but I figure if I can tune it out I will be ready for whatever on test day. It has taught me to tune out distractions, like people sitting next to me talking politics in ways I very much disagree :)

How to stay LSAT fit?

Alright so I am an idiot. I was waiting for some money to come through before paying for the Feb LSAT rego. Slipped my mind that Friday was the deadline and now I will taking the June it seems. This could possibly be good, I need a 170+ and since moving onto 50s PTs I have sunk back down to high 160s. Thing is, I was hitting it hard in the prep material and have finished all of it. I don't mean PTs, but I read both LG and LR bibles and a few other resources. I don't really think it would help me to read anything else at this point. So basically I have five months now with only PTs to do. To prepare and stay ready over the next few months will just taking two PTs a week be a good call? One every other day? Where do I go from here?

If it helps, I have almost gotten LG down 100%, but my LR scores dropped quite a bit in more recent tests. I keep missing some obvious detail on four or five questions every LR section. When I blind review I want to hit myself for making such a stupid mistake. Damn Shell Game answers!

Early PTs

First off 7sage logic game explanations are a Godsend. Logic games are the only section I really struggled with, but I am finally starting to feel semi confident on them with the help of 7sage.

My question is on the relevancy of old PTs. I bought a pack of 10 PTs from LSAC. I have taken 7, 9, and 10. Scoring 179, 170, and 173. The 170 after I ran out of time on a logic game and guessed 5 questions wrong. So I am feeling pretty confident for a Feb test, but I know these PTs are from the 90s. Am I in for a rude awakening when I start to deal with more recent tests?

Man if I could get to -1 on LG I'd be set. Dream school is UVA, but don't have a shot unless I can crack 170, which I would have on every PT if I had -1 on LG :/ I guess I'm just being impatient, can't expect to master these in a few weeks....

I hate logic games!

Seriously takes me 10 minutes no matter what. I watch the video explanation and can do it in like 5, but every new PT just kills me. Always turns out I miss 1 or 2 per section of LR, around 5 on RC, and bloody 8 or so on LG because I can't finish. And tips for speed other than just drill?

My mistakes are often the same thing. I think this is where practice tests will help a lot. As you start to remember little mistakes you can make, and you hopefully begin to avoid them.

My only problem is LG to be honest. I can't finish them. Had I got all correct in LG my score would have been a 172. I didn't even have time to read the last game.

Ok, starting my prep

I am going to get 7sage basic and study as much as possible before the December Lsat. I took a diagnostic and got 164 but my goal is 170+. I also have a Kaplan LSAT 2014 book. Questions are:

Is this enough time to improve to my target score?

Should I even bother to read my Kaplan book in addition to using 7sage?

Should I add anything to my plan at all (other books or study programs) or just hit the 7sage course hard when ever I have free time?

I work full time and am taking 12 credit hours of college. I know it will be hard to fit it all in, but law school won't be much better. I figure it's good training. I can study for the LSAT about 6 or 7 hours a week if I give up almost all social life for the next three months.

@amyrachelroberts76 that is very encouraging. If I could nail the lg section I know I'd be at my target. I finish the other two sections with time to spare and I don't miss too many. Also saw you were in Sydney, I lived there four years and miss it heaps! Good luck on the test!

Thanks, yall are encouraging. These damn logic games are just making me doubt my self. If I had 45 min I could probably get them all correct. 35 just seems so damn fast.

Everyone seems to love that logic bible. My local barns and noble didn't have it when I checked. Looks like it may be worth ordering.

Yea I kinda have decided the 1000s of pages are basically a giant paper weight with 3 practice tests.... I found the video explanations here and was very impressed. My goal is UVA and it seems with my GPA I'll need at least 171. I just don't know if I'm being a bit pretentious to think I can score that high.

I apologise if this is asked often. I decided I wanted to do law school and bought a giant Princeton Review LSAT book. I wanted to know where I was at, so I took two practice tests from the back of the book. I scored 162 & 164 but couldn't even start the last logic game on either so I missed 1/4 of that section both times. Timing is killing me on logic games. My question is can I realistically expect to crack 170 or am I going to struggle because I'm not processing logic fast enough? I mean it's not knowledge at all, so can I learn to think better?
