Study Schedule/CC/Drill question

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the study schedule and syllabus.

I understand that I should work through the CC in order. But, what if I go through a certain lesson, lets say MSS for example, and I don't do so well on the drilling portion. I believe I need more help on MSS.

Once I complete all of the drills and I don't feel like I grasped the concepts or understood why I'm missing questions, and I don't do so well on the drills, do I move on and follow the study schedule? Or do I drill some more?

When should I do more drills of questions types I've already done such as MP/MC? Do I do them in between other lessons? Do I go back to them after I'm done with the CC and drill out those that I have trouble with?

Chunking - What to do?

Hi everyone,

I am attempting to study through chunking. What I mean is, in order to get myself back in rhythm of studying I'm going to use the chunking method so I don't burn out, so I can understand what I am learning, and to properly execute what I learned through practicing.

My main concern currently is how should I chunk the material?

For LG I do pretty well, I'm somewhere between 3-4 questions wrong (this is was the case in FEB) I don't know where I stand currently until I do some practice LGs.

The biggest section I want to focus on is LR. So,what should I chunk? Should I do 3 30 min chunking sessions throughout the day and have different concepts to chunk such as MP/MC, STR, Weaken or do 1 30min chunk session with 2-3 concepts and then later on in the day go through some flashcards to reinforce what I learned and do a couple of practice problems?

I believe this could help a lot of people if they don't have time such as myself.

What are your thoughts?

Drill within lessons

Hi everyone,

I had a question regarding the drill portion of each lesson.

Are we supposed to do it under timed conditions or untimed conditions? Also, do we have to blind review if were are doing it under untimed conditions?

Should we complete the entire lesson before moving on the to next lesson including drills?

Feedback on CC V2 Beta

So, I started using the V2 of the CC, and I absolutely love it. This is what I have been wanting and looking for.

It was a great idea to do a lesson on the question type, show a question being done, and then have us try it with a video of the explanation afterwards! This is excellent!

The transcript after the video is an amazing way to reinforce what we just watched. It is also perfect for those who can't watch the video for whatever reason and they would rather have a transcript to read of what was said in the video.

I will edit this when I have more feedback.

I do have a question, for the drilling after the lesson, when is it a good time to move on to the next lesson? How many questions should we get right? Should we do all variations of drills such as easiest, easier, med and so on?

Title says it all.

I have a hard time blind reviewing. I am currently working through the CC and whenever I finish a lesson I focus on drilling questions from that lesson; Isolated questions. Questions from pt 37-159. Approx. 20 questions in two days with 3-5 questions of the previous lessons.

So, after completing these drills, I just check the answers. Most of the time I am down to two answers and initially choose the right answer, but second guess myself and choose the wrong answer.

I look at the question that I got wrong and what the correct answer was and I just think to myself, "Damn, I knew it, I had it chosen at first but went with the other answer" or "I knew it.. I should have chosen that answer" without choosing it the first time.

So, should I blind review my drills of specific questions, or should I wait to blind review full pts after I finish the CC and I'm doing all the question types rather than the current lesson plus previous lessons.

Also, I feel like I'm not really getting anything out of BR. I will just watch the video and explanation and be like ok that makes sense, but still make the same errors.

For example, I'm on SA questions. I would do about 20 SA questions with an additional 20 - 25 questions of MBT, STR, Weaken, MSS, MC. I would do all the easiest questions, move onto easier, and so on. Every few weeks or so I would combine them all and do a 20-25 question drill of all the types I've been practicing with a wide range level of difficulties.

Go by the Syllabus, work as fast as you want or as slow as you need to. The Study schedule is just a guide. But, if you prefer being on time constraints, then use the schedule of course. Also, in my opinion, start with V2 of the curriculum.

Hey, anything is possible. I was in your shoes a few months ago. I was stressed out, depressed, and going insane believing I wouldn't get accepted anywhere.

I had a LSAC GPA of 2.35 with a 152 and I got accepted to semi local law school (about 45 min drive from where I live) that gave me a 50% merit scholarship. I also go waitlisted to a top 100 Law School and I think I'm going to get accepted to 1 more (fingers crossed). Best part, I was rejected by the worst law school in the nation.

Anything is possible.

@ Thank you!

@ - Keep at it, never give up, and you will get the score you want. I wanted a 152 and I was able to get it.

Hi everyone,

I've waited so long to post this. Never give up, there is always hope.

TLDR;

Graduated Undergrad in 2016 - 2.49 GPA.

Got introduced to LAW from a friend and as I did research I fell in love with the field.

Started Studying for LSAT in Sept 2018

1st test - Jan 2019 - 137

2nd test - July 2019 - 145

3rd test - June 2023 - 152

LSAC GPA 2.35

I decided it was time to apply because I knew I couldn't do better then 152, plus I did not have the money to pay for a tutor and I'm 31, so I don't have time to keep studying. I got a family to take care of.

I submitted my applications on Sept 1st.

I got my first Acceptance to a part time program in October with a 50% Merit Scholarship. Ranked 100+ Law school with a pretty decent bar pass rate.

I got denied by the worst law school in the United States - Cooley (Honestly, this was the school I was hoping to get into if no other school accepted me, it was my final option, even if the school is terrible)

I got waitlisted to a law school that is ranked in top 100.

Waiting to hear back from 2 more law schools.

Main point - NEVER GIVE UP. I have worked so hard to reach this point. Look at my stats.... I got into LAW SCHOOL with a Merit Scholarship.

I got denied by the worst law school and that is totally fine because another school saw my potential.

Please don't doubt yourselves. Keep working hard and everything will fall into place.

BEST OF LUCK TO EVERYONE!

Hi,

I wanted to know if there is a way to filter the study schedule to actually fit the hours in and have it generate for those hours.

Say I can put only 14 hrs a week. Can I filter it by 14 hours and actually have the study schedule generate to accommodate only 14 hours a week. As it stands, I can put 14 hours, but there will be weeks with 18 hours and 20 hours.

Also, I want to remove all the tests, it's a bit overwhelming when looking at the study schedule and it shows 500+ hours.

Does anyone how I can improve on weaken questions? I really having a tough time with them.

I understand you have to weaken the support the premise gives the conclusion, but how? Am I questioning the premises? Is there something I'm looking for? Do I say, what if it's something else?

How do I weaken the support? In what ways???

Confirm action

Are you sure?
