Hey, I'm looking for people to gather for mock testing on Saturday mornings at Gangnam from the end of April. We would gather at a study cafe such as 'Toz' around 8:30, start the exam with the 7sage proctor app at 9:00, and go through with all five sections. Looking for a group of four-ish as the rooms are usually booked in that scope. PM me or comment on this thread!

J.Y.,
Let me try to counter your explanation for answers. First of all, I chose D as the correct answer and my reasoning is that the "unusually advanced techniques of preserving meats" does not grant any justification to make an assumption that 'preserving meats -> not having to eat sea animals' I mean, the advanced preserving meat techniques could have been for the sea animal and the sea animals could have been the painters' primary diet at the time. I think it's an overstretch to make such assumption that just because they had advanced preserving meat techniques, they didn't have to eat sea animals. Thus, according to my logic, (D) DOES NOT WEAKEN the argument.
Now, for (C), in the context it is clearly said that the theory about the northern cave paintings was that they were largely a description of the current diets of the painters. Thus, if the paintings that were discovered on the islands depicted many land animals, then according to the theory, it is more likely because land animals WERE the diets of the painters at the time. Now, if you were to make a counter to this by saying 'oh well but those paintings could have been only a fraction of the real prevailing paintings at the time, which mostly consisted of sea animals paintings', what warrants you to make such assumption here? right? As far as what are explicitly given in the context and the answer choices, the point I made is really as much as we can know and making any further or extra assumption would be against the whole point of this test I think, which is to make the most reasonable and logical conjecture from only what are given.
If there are anything you want to correct me on, please do so because I'm just so strongly convinced of my own argument described above, I just can't accept the answer choice for this question even after watching your video.
Thank you so much.
Studying for the June LSAT at Duksung Uni. Lemme know if you're interested in studying, or know other ppl who are trying for the exam. I saw a TLS post about this as well FYI
