what is your current LSAT score?
Hi! I'm interested!
Hi! I am also interested! This is a separate question from tutoring: did you apply during the same cycle or did you wait until the next cycle to apply after you re-took the test? I scored lower than I was hoping to this October and I'm deciding if I should wait to apply until next year.
I'm experiencing the same thing! Would love any advice🙏
@Amybekind23 Also it might be good in your case to write an addendum to discuss your low grades in AA. Briefly discussing honestly why they were low and indicating that you've had better grades as you've progressed will be important!
Hi, I just wanted to say that I think you have a good plan! Re-taking the LSAT will be beneficial if you can raise your score. But don't place all your effort into GPA/LSAT, make sure that you write the best personal statement possible. You need to show the school why you are a ideal candidate for their program based off of your passions/experiences/etc. From my research into admissions it seems that schools do have some wiggle room with their stats, so if you focus on the personal statement/other supplemental essays to indicate your interest in their specific school and why you are a strong candidate- you will be fine. Best of luck to you and don't get too discouraged! You got this
I completely missed the part in the last sentence saying that Ellsworth would be offended if the media says he was involved in unethical business practices. This is the strongest indicator to choose E! I completely skipped over that and lost the meaning in that last sentence. Here's a reminder to make sure you read the passages carefully, especially during test day!
Would love to join the group!
@amd7171 I am so sorry to hear you had this experience! It sounds like you would have a very strong application, given your stats and if your personal statement + additional materials are all crafted well. Depending on your score, if it is well below the 25th percentile of the schools you are looking at, it may be good to do the re-take in january. But given the strength of the other factors I would think you would have a good chance to get in at least somewhere! If you're planning to apply in march/april/may I'd say january is still a good timeline...but if you are concerned about financial aid I know many schools on a rolling basis prefer apps to be submitted the earlier the better. Also if you are concerned about financial aid, typically LSAT is weighed more for that, so I would consider re-taking if you are well below the 25th percentile for that school. Best of luck! I am sure something will work out for you, and don't get discouraged about your score! It seems your application is very strong and you still have time to re-take if it is feasible for you(time and financially). you got this!
