DM me! Fellow Canadian here and it was my second cycle finally got an acceptance after taking the LSAT 4+ times. It is definitely a marathon not a sprint. Keep your head up and remember perseverance is key! It also shows strength in character something you can definitely touch on in your personal statement for next cycle! :)

Hi!! I got into a Canadian law school this year although some may say I'm a reverse splitter high CGPA lower LSAT. I do know of ppl who have gotten in with a lower CGPA and a high LSAT. It’s a given that your LSAT in this case would have to compensate for your CGPA but it can be done! When I was attending some open houses for Toronto law schools some mentioned although CGPA is important they also look for an upwards trajectory! Hope this was helpful! :)

😊 Happy

Just got into law school (Canadian EDITION)

Woww screaming, crying, throwing up!! As someone who has used 7sage since 2024 and has taken the LSAT more than 4 times thought I owed it to myself to let everyone know who struggles with this test that there is light at the end of the tunnel lool.

Quick shoutout to some amazing tutors that, although I never did one-on-one tutoring with them, when I got the chance, I always tried to attend their classes. Big shout out to Alvin!! Another BIG shoutout to Bailey!!! Both of whom were super effective and encouraging during this longg process.

A couple of tips, as someone who has taken this test (a lot), I find that although 7sage is AMAZING, the best way, at least to me, to go about studying is a combination of resources! Don't shy away from the books! (Loophole by Ellen Cassidy, LR Perfection Dragon Test Prep, and Powerscore RC Bible are some of my favourites).

There aren't a lot of Law schools in Canada, so if any future Canadian lawyers or applicants for the next cycle want to reach out pls do!

Hi!! Thought I would sprinkle some knowledge that could be helpful for your case. I find it best to use 7sage with a mix of other resources. While studying, I've also read The Loophole by Ellen Cassidy, and I found it to be very helpful!! It's also good to narrow down where you are struggling. Is it LR, RC, lawgic causal associations? If that's the case, I definitely recommend the book I stated above. Personally, I used to never WAJ. I thought it was extra work, and I thought it was enough to just watch the video and move on. But I've come to realize that it's more than that, now I usually try to WAJ PT Questions that I got wrong and explain in my journal why the answers are wrong and why the one is correct and continuously doing that while studying. I find it the best way to narrow down patterns in reasoning that can really help when PTing.

As someone who has taken the test more than 3 times, I know this process can be super overwhelming and mentally draining. But please remember to give yourself grace!! LSAT knowledge is practically like learning a new language/ a new way of thinking, and its most definitely hard to tackle and understand. Judging from your post, your work ethic seems impeccable! I know the CC can be super overwhelming, especially revisiting it for the second time, so maybe you just need to see it from a different pov. For RC help, I also recommend the Powerscore RC bible. I can also recommend LSAT Dragon books (I will say it is more advanced knowledge as they skip skill core reasoning and get straight into strategies, so it's recommended for higher scores, which I know you will most definitely come to be!)

I totally empathize with your journey, as I started off scoring in the same range. Just take the time you need to really get back on your feet, and please don't be so hard on yourself! Your consistency and dedication will most definitely pay off in the long run, don't give up!! :) Feel free to reach out if you ever want to drill or share tips! :)

Personally, for me, I find it helpful to write down conditionals when I see them in a stim. But that obviously is quite time consuming come test day. When just starting, I say accuracy is key, and with that comes practice, i.e., writing down your conditionals when you encounter them. After a while, it will come to you naturally to just note them in your head or for me, I use my fingers (sufficient on the left hand, necessary on the right). Good Luck!!

Personally, for me, I find that untimed really helps with accuracy. For example, how would you expect to get better under timed pressure if you aren't getting questions correct during untimed? I think when you are just starting, you should try your best to try to understand the stimulus, and that often means going into drilling at an untimed pace. Once you get further along in the CC and it automatically shifts to timed, you'll be more equipped to answer the questions, and you'll start trading in time for confidence in your answer choices!

Good luck with your studies!!

💪 Motivated

T- 3 days Tips

Registered for the January LSAT, taking it in less than 4 days. It's not my first time taking it, but I wanted to know what high scorers did in preparation so close to the test. Should I do another PT, keep it light and just do drills? Sections? Review WAJ? Goal is 165.

Would appreciate any tips and tricks, also ways in which to keep the nerves down (it doesn't get easier)

Good Luck to the January test takers!!

Canadian here!! The best advice is to definitely reach out regardless of what you may think. Attach your CV to an email and let them know how their class resonated with you. Also applying to schools this upcoming cycle. Let me know if you wanna connect!!
