LSAT Writing Question

I am signed up for the August LSAT, and I know that it automatically signs me up for an LSAT writing portion as well. I wanted to focus on strictly the RC and LR LSAT portions in August, so I was considering taking the writing portion on a different testing cycle. Am I able to submit an LSAT writing independent of the LSAT? For example, could I submit the September LSAT writing and the August exam into my applications, or do I have to submit the writing and exam from the same month?

For analogy or parallel reasoning questions, I usually don't focus as much on the actual information in the passage, but I instead try and identify the structure of the reasoning. That makes it a little easier to understand for me, because sometimes the question stem can be purposefully confusing.

I usually like to do drills in quarter-section chunks (6 LR or 1 RC passage) because it's easier to time. I'd also recommend starting to drill with the easiest level questions and working your way up during study session. I've found that starting with difficult problems and missing more questions at the beginning of a study session can impact my mental performance and make me more frustrated for the rest of the session.

🙃 Confused

CAS and LSAT scores

I am looking to begin the application process, but I am waiting on my LSAT score from October to come back. I currently have an LSAT score from August. If I pay for a CAS report, will it automatically use my August score because I have not received this new score? If so, will it update automatically with my October score if it is better?

Also, do I need to submit letters of recommendations before I order CAS? I feel like I am missing information about the "right order" for all of this.
