I'm in the same boat with 25+ years of significant work/leadership progression (CxO) in technology companies. Given that, I'm still very worried about getting an acceptable LSAT score (testing Oct/Jan) for the T-40+ schools in my region. A 3.4 GPA at a Top 10 public university seemed good in the 90s :-) My guess is that the law schools don't really consider GPA inflation that has occurred over the last 3 decades. Why would they want to lower their range/median publication for a few non-trads?
My 2 cents regarding the addendums - include it if you excelled initially or longer in a career along the same lines/influence of your major(s). You'll be able (I think) to show that your practical application was stronger and not reflective of your GPA. You already know from your career that GPAs/school rankings, etc. don't matter after the first job. The admissions team also know that and hopefully will see your potential and value add you will bring to the school. I wish you all the best!
