On a second listen, B is incorrect simply because it states, "would set a bad precedent". And since we don't know this than it's incorrect.

Same for me. Even if I use the method where I attempt to prove each incorrect answer chose wrong, B seems like it can be the correct answer simply because the term "general population" is used in an uncommon way in the stimulus.

The stimulus uses the term "general population" differently than how it's used in statistics and everyday language. "General population" can be used to describe the general racial makeup of a country, it can also be used to describe the general beliefs of the country, etc. However, to say that 1000 people make up the opinions of the "general population" of Denmark, a country with millions of people, is a stretch and deeply ambiguous.
