Good luck! I'm taking my next (and hopefully final) test sometime next year. I've been interested in starting a study group, so lmk if you're in the ABQ area and interested!
@Matthew Todd There's also some conditional nonsense going on. If you assumption-jumped like I did and equated "reasonable" with "best," A still runs counter to the argument's conclusion.
The conclusion stars "unless," which translates to:
/considered conflicting evidence -> /best to take a strong position
or
best to take a strong position -> considered conflicting evidence
By contrast, A is:
fully understands and considered impartially -> reasonable to take a strong position (or best if you assumption jump)
or
/reasonable to take a strong position -> /fully understand or /considered impartially
There's unfortunately no way to arrive at the same conclusion as the argument by selecting A. It does introduce some other concepts from the premises, but they lead down the road to annihilation.
