My LSAT score was 6 points lower than my average PT score!

@NoNamed92 I took it in person, and likely will want to again but this is also something I considered, along with. starting PTs again and seeing where I land over the next few weeks.

😖 Frustrated

April LSAT --> June LSAT --> August LSAT

Hey y'all, so as most of you know, we got back our April scores today. My score was 12 points under my target. It was my first exam, but I am feeling super frustrated. I am registered to take the June LSAT, but fear that a 12-point jump may be unrealistic, and I want to know if I should push the exam until August. For reference, here are my numbers:

Diagnostic 138

PTs 154-159 range (with one outlier of 148, 2 weeks before the exam)

Goal 160

Score on April exam 148

So as you can see, I am in a rut at this point. I worried I was not fully ready for a 160 for my first exam, but I definitely did not expect to see a 148 this morning when I checked. I feel like even since this April exam, I have improved a lot and been doing better, but I am worried that if I take it again in 4 weeks, I will just be thinking of this 148 instead of what I have been averaging. I was also planning on keeping my score because I know I can do better than I did, but if anyone disagrees, please let me know.

I want to start law school in the Fall 2027 term, so I was hoping to apply by September so I can get the most scholarship money possible. I also have the fee waiver, so I know I can take it again in August if needed, but I would have to pay out of pocket for it, which is unrealistic for me financially.

Basically, should I change from the June to the August LSAT? Also, do I keep my score? And what do we think of this timeline? Do we have any thoughts? Please and thanks, I need all the help I can get from y'all.

Hi friend! First of all, kudos to you. I also work a 9-5 with little to no law connections whatsoever and am going through the same process right now, so I understand you completely. I will say, I felt the same way when I first started studying in January, but trust the process! I did get a little stir crazy and would sometimes do quick drills after foundations for practice, and I found that it really helped me see problems in real-time conditions, but everyone is different. I just took the April exam and am planning on taking it again in June, and even now I am going back to the foundation recap videos when I miss things because they are so so helpful. Said all that to say good job, and eventually you will get your flow and what works for you!

Hi there! I am taking the LSAT for the first time next Friday, the 9th. I am treating it as a practice exam to create a baseline score for my June exam.

I am looking for a flexible tutor who can work with me and my busy schedule. I work a 9-5 and my study times vary, but I always take at least an hour to two a day, uninterrupted for studying.

I started studying in January, and had a 138 diagnostic. I am currently scoring in the 155-159 range, but want a 165 on the exam in June. Tutoring would hopefully follow my April exam and have a more concrete number to work with.

@MichaelWright I cannot thank you enough for your kind words! I do definitely think there was a lot of outside factors effecting my experience, but it is nice to know that I am not alone in this experience and that it can be used in my benefit for next week.

I take the exam for the first time next Friday, but I am also scheduled for the June exam, I hoped this would take a little pressure off of me. Hoping over the next week I can continue to lightly prep while building my confidence from the other good sets, reviews, and exams I have done.

Thank you so much!

I take the April exam, and today I wanted to go to campus and do a full PT at the same time as I am going to next week. I came into the exam feeling good, but by the second half I found myself feeling so discouraged that I knew I did poorly.

However, I did not even fathom getting as low as I did. I take the exam in a week and have been feeling good about it, and now I am trying to figure out how to not spiral after doing so poorly on this PT. Pls help, this exam is killing me.

😬 Nervous

April LSAT --> June LSAT

Hey y'all, I am scheduled to take the LSAT next month, and I am not feeling great about my scores. I know we won't get our scores back until after the June deadline, so I am trying to figure out if I should just go ahead and register for it. I have the fee waiver, so I only get the 2 free exams, so I just want to make sure I am using my time wisely.

Does anyone have any suggestions or the same concerns? LMK!!

This is my second time getting this question wrong. I understand the question, and I narrowed it down from A and D (just like the last time, and did not remember my answer apparently, LOL). To be honest, I feel like the verbiage of D does not follow for me. Can someone please explain it in the simplest terms, without diagraming it? I did not draw this one out (I do not feel like diagramming works for some questions for me intuitively and only do so when it does)

💪 Motivated

LSAT study buddy/group

Hi friends! I live in Athens and plan on taking the April LSAT. I am looking for some girlies to keep eachother accountable, either with a weekly in person study session or on FT. I am currently in a studying slump and really need the extra support :)
