Does anyone have any advice for not psyching yourself out on harder RC passages? I find myself freaking out and having to re-read over and over again because I convince myself I can't understand the passage. I've tried focusing on finding the structure/opinions/etc., slowing down, taking deep breaths, and even powering through, but then I finish and I have no idea what I just read. Any advice?

My goal was and is to get a 170 or greater. I started studying with a free class in fall 2025. In this class, we learned the basics and walked through questions. We were supposed to do two PTs a week, but I just did one PT a week and sort of fell behind. I locked in in December 2025 and studied every day for about 3 hours (I read the RC bible and did two sections a day then reviewed that night in my wrong answer journal). Before the test, I got a 170/173 once and was averaging mid to high 160s. I got a 160 on the February LSAT of this year and haven't studied since.

I really struggled with reading comprehension timing. Some passages I just wouldn't understand and I would get entire passages wrong. Reading has always been my strength but the timing, even with the tools given to my by the free class and the RC powerscore bible, I could not increase my score. I did a lot of practice and outside reading with the strategy of reading for structure, arguments, etc. and was never really able to master the timing of it all and the challenging questions would just often seem to extrapolate more than I was comfortable doing.

I got pretty good at LR after a lot of practice, still struggled a little bit with timing but was mostly got 1-4 wrong one every section.

I am restarting my studying with the goal of taking the February 2027 test. I'm a week into 7sage core concepts and have watched most videos on 2x speed, there have been a few tools that could be helpful in helping me perfect/refresh my LR but I feel like I know a lot of what these videos are explaining. Any advice on how to go about preparing for the Feb 2027 test? and improving at RC beyond external reading for structure/POV/arguments and a ton of practice?
