Hey everyone, I'm asking for advice from anyone who's been in my position and was able to get into the 170s consistently. I've been able to get a 170-171 twice on my PTs, but after that, I've just been getting 167-169. From my last PTs, it seems like RC has generally been dragging my score down but am not sure how to address it. Should I just do some untimed RC and read more?
Also, I don't know if it's because my sleep schedule is off or if I'm burnt out, but I've recently been crying a lot over this exam. I get really frustrated when I don't get a 170 or above and it ruins my day. I feel like this is a sign I should probably take some time off but am not sure.

@EEC_517 yes definitely, the lsat will make trap answer choices in LR or RC based on assumptions you think would be common sense but you have to stay strict to what the stimulus/passage says. If the assumption isn't supported by either, it's wrong.
@RubiOrellana sidenote for anyone considering buying her book, don’t waste your time on those translation drills. It was a complete waste of time for me when I could’ve just been reading the stimuli directly.
As someone who also went from 1ow 160s to 170/171 (at least on PTs), I think it's possible but I would make sure you're really emphasizing the quality rather than quantity of hours you're studying. Really digging deep into why you're attracted to the wrong answer choices and really engaging with the questions analytically will help you get there. It took me longer than 2.5 months but that's only because I kept putting assumptions into the answer choices and tried making them right. Took me some time to get out of doing that but once I did, I started scoring 168-170!
Right now you're still below their lsat median, if you can, i would not settle on that lsat score and try to get into the 160s. you have a great gpa and if your softs are as good as you say, you could easily get into slu and other schools. DM me if you need a tutor rec.
Tbh I would recommend getting a tutor if you can afford one. JY's explanations are not always great and I found that I learned the best when I directly bouncing off my explanations to someone instead of trying to piece it together with subpar video explanations. Let me know if you need a tutor rec bc the one I'm working with right now has been worth every penny.
