@ I agree with @ - with an addition. I was having the same problem. After reviewing my tests, I noticed I missed a few on the first section at the beginning. I realized I wasn't warmed up. I've started doing the first 10 questions in 10 minutes from an untouched LR section to warm-up before any PT, then taking the PT, and my score has improved significantly. Now only missing 3-5 on each LR section. I plan to do this before the actual test too.

I agree with everything said above, and I'll add that I started using a highlighter for the RC section only and my score dramatically increased (from 14 missed w/o highlighter to only 6 missed with highlighter).

I had previously been using underlining and bracketing techniques for everything. I think highlighting does something for the longer passages that grabs my attention more. There are lots of tips about speed reading online, and using a highlighter to pull out the major terms and phrases mimics a lot of those tips.

Just a suggestion, it may not work for everyone, but try it on your next PT.

That's odd. I found that I did significantly better on older PTs than newer ones. I did a batch of old PTs to begin with and once I started the new ones (with comparative RC passages), my score dropped by 4-5 points.
