Does anyone know when 91-94 will be released? I take the October exam in 2 weeks...

They use the LSAC cumulative GPA. I would urge you to write an addendum explaining
I applied to 18 schools for this cycle and just sent my last one in yesterday. I have already received a "your application is complete email" from all of the schools, and some have already gone under review (some of the apps I sent in September and were on hold until the October LSAT scores went out). Has anyone received a decision this cycle? If so from what school?

Maybe this is a dumb question... but can you not register for the US testing slots anyway, since it's all virtual? And I'm presuming you permanently reside in the US.
Thankfully I was granted the retake due to the gravity of the issue. I retook the test on Thursday. but, to answer your question: internationals cannot take non-international exams even though its all virtual. You sign up based on where you will physically be on test day, and if you attempt to hide your location via VPN they WILL find out lol... its to prevent cheating I think
Odd, I thought it was based on your permanent residence. I mean, what if you're studying abroad or doing an exchange semester? That would be quite arbitrary... I signed up and was only asked to provide my permanent address, which is in the US, so I think that should be fine... I wasn't even using a VPN.
that's exactly the position I'm in. I am a permanent US resident studying abroad in London. I asked LSAC if this means I have to take an international administration and they said yes. It does seem really dumb, but at least October was international so I could take it.
No, that’s the point of cancelling it. It’s as if you never even took the test At all.

Amazing! Congratulations 😊
Thank you!
I use to score from -7 to -10 on logic games, my worst was -12. Over the past several weeks, maybe 2 months, I have gotten significantly better and can score in the -1 to -4 range. My last PT I got -1 on LG. I want to be really excited about this improvement but I always feel like it wasn't truly my hard studying and blind reviewing that got me here, for example I will lead myself to think that it was just an easy set or I was able to see inferences I wouldn't be able to on actual test day. The worst thought I tell myself is that my real test (in October) will have curveballs or insanely hard games that my practice isn't preparing me for and I will end up scoring -10 again.
Does anyone else struggle with this?

Congrats on the incredible increase!!
Thank you so much. I always get so excited when I see your profile pic because you've truly been so encouraging to everyone on this forum. Thanks for everything!
Your determination and ability to look forward from here sets you apart from many people. Congratulations on making it this far, you'll get to your goal!
Thank you 7sage. I began studying for this test in March 2020 and can finally say I am done with it in October 2021.
I began with a diagnostic of 148. I took the test in June and got a 159, but knowing I had more potential stuck to studying for the Oct LSAT. I was so close to the median for a lot of great schools and knew I could increase my odds by a lot just by raising my score a little bit more. I ended with a 163 this October. I know it’s not a 175 like many people strive for, but for me the 15 point increase and 40 point percentile increase is more than enough to be proud of. I am confident in my ability to get into some amazing schools with this score. 7sage is what got me over the hump and I’m forever grateful.
For those who got their score back and are realizing that their LSAT journey isn’t over, you got this. There were weeks and months I thought I would never break 155. I truly believed I had reached my peak 7 months ago. Remember what you’re studying for- the reason you are going to law school in the first place. We put in the hard work now so that we can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives later on.
While a 163 may seem like nothing special, I fought so hard for it and I’m extremely proud of myself and this community.
Good job my friends!

I feel sick waiting for this score lmao
is it a 9am EST release?
I think so? That's what it was in June
Yes. This is from their email: All October test takers will receive their scores on Wednesday, October 27, provided they have an approved LSAT writing sample on file. Scores will be released at approximately 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, on October 27, but be advised that with thousands of scores populating across the system it may take a few minutes for all scores to be visible.

The LSAT has traditionally been a 5 section test. the PT's that you've been taking are 4 sections because those are the sections that were graded for that administration of the test. If you were to take the exact same PT on the real test day, you would have had another section that is not scored. They don't release experimental sections so that they can use the questions for later tests. In other words, the LSAT has usually been 4 graded, 1 ungraded. These are the PT's you've been practicing with.
After covid, they moved to the 3 section test with no experimental, all of which were graded. Then in August they reintroduced the experimental section, but only went to 4 sections instead of back to the normal 5 section format. On test day, you'll have four sections on the test and one of them will not be scored. The number of questions you'll be scored on will be out of about 76, whereas traditionally it's been out of 100.
Super confusing now that I've tried to explain this but I hope that makes sense.
I am starting to see the new numbers coming out for the class of 2024... most of the schools I am applying to have increased their LSAT score by 2 points. This is so discouraging, because I was already on the low end and was hoping to balance out my lower score with a 3.92 GPA. Do you think these high LSATs are going to go back to normal for this upcoming cycle or stay the same?? Literally one week away from applying to a lot of schools, this is such a buzz kill.

Happy to look over yours! I am still finalizing my own and would appreciate your feedback once mine is wrapped up.
Great! If you want to message me we can figure out how to share

10 points is a substantial decrease. How many of your friends are experiencing this? I just took the Oct. LSAT and it felt roughly like most of my PTS. Obviously I won’t know until I get my score back. But I took the most recently released PT (92) and scored the same as any other test, even slightly higher
I had one friend I know immediately who experienced this and a few more friends of friends who got at least 5 points lower. Basically everyone I know who is taking it said they got at least around 5 points less than PT. Maybe they're just embellishing their PT scores, but it doesn't seem random. Honestly I hope you are right.
Honestly I have no idea. I don't have any friends at all who take the LSAT, the only people I know of are on 7sage. It's definitely possibly but I really hope it's not the case.
I'm getting ready to submit my applications next week before November comes around. Does anyone want to swap resumes for last minute advice? Would be happy to look over anyones resume if they would do the same for me. Let me know (:

I hate this part of waiting for my score! I know, I know... you can't change it now so you might as well just forget about it and do something else other than think about it. I have test anxiety and always find myself unconsciously going through the questions in my head trying to remember what answer I put down (especially with LG, it's easy to retrospectively analyze your setup and stuff). I'll add up how many questions I could get wrong on each section to still get a decent score and I'll think "maybe I got __ on reading comp." but the truth is: I just. don't. know.
I'm just grateful that I have the 7sage community because it always reminds me that I'm not alone and that self-doubt is very common after taking the LSAT. We only have about 5 days until score release and until then I am trying my hardest to stop replaying the test in my head. Hope everyone is treating themselves kindly!!!!

@ ah I finally got it, thank you!!
Yay (: good luck on Thursday!
I just wanted to log back onto 7Sage after several months (I took my last test in October) to thank JY and the 7Sage community for everything it has given me. This website helped me raise my LSAT score by 10 points and undoubtedly is a huge factor in my success this cycle. I applied to 18 schools and I've been accepted to 6 of them (including a T30 and 2 full rides in the T50). I've also been deferred at my #1 of GULC (fingers crossed for me) and I have high hopes for the remaining schools. I never thought I would make it to this point until I found 7Sage and finally started to understand my own learning process. Thank you everyone and good luck to everyone who is still studying for the LSAT! You got this!
I just finished by Blind Review for PT 69 and got a 162 actual and a 180 on my blind review, something I've never done before. Before that I was averaging around a 160 with a 170/172 BR. I would go over questions I got wrong in depth, watching JY's explanation videos and such until I was sure I understood why the right answer was correct
I am so happy with these improvements because I got a 159 on the June test and I am retaking in October to hopefully hit a 163. I want to stay motivated and continue to see progress.
Should I continue doing timed practice every other day and blind reviewing, or should I include other forms of studying as well? I have 100% free time from now until mid-September. I'm leaning towards timed practice (i.e., practice tests) since clearly my weakness is the timing.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated! thanks so much
Has anyone had to file a formal complaint with LSAC about tech issues/wanting to retake? I filed yesterday and I’m wondering how long until I hear back…the retest is less than a week away so I need to know soon…
I am an American studying abroad in the UK, and so I've just taken my exam today. I had wifi issues at my apartment and so I booked a public office space to take the exam. I was pumped and ready to take the exam. ProctorU began demanding I download software that is incompatible with my MacBook (i.e. a .exe file). I was unable to download it and thus unable to connect to a proctor and take my test. Of course I had to call customer service, and the lady ridiculed me and blamed the tech issues on me for being international. I was so flustered, anxious and frustrated. I was ultimately unable to use my own computer and had to borrow a Thinkpad from the public office. The keyboard was British and I spent so much time on my test simply trying to figure out where all of the keys were. On top of this I was too frustrated to focus for the first two sections - I have never felt so bad about a test as I do this one. The reading comp alone probably tanked my score because I kept having to re-read and hold back tears. During my 10 minute break I went to the restroom and cried. The last 2 sections went by okay, because I forced myself to pretend like I wasn't about to break down.
2 years of studying for the LSAT and website and tech issues might be the reason I don't get into the law school of my dreams.
I already filed a formal complaint to retake the exam, no guarantee that it will be granted though.
I am a wreck. I can't believe this is how test day went. 25 prep tests since June and I was averaging a 165 and sometimes higher, but because of what I went through this morning I wouldn't be surprised if I got a 150
I can't download the LogMeIn file because .EXE won't download on Mac. Please help.
Can someone please confirm if they were able to use mechanical pencils and lined paper? Or must I have blank paper and wooden pencils?
I got a 155 on my last practice test with a 170 on my blind review...huge difference I know. Any advice on how to close the gap? This just proves I KNOW the material. I KNOW how to approach the questions. I need help with timing and making sure I can preform my best in the time allotted. Has anyone gone through this and figured out a strategy for turning your BR score into your actual?
Please help.
The rule is "Either P is an ingredient or Y is an ingredient, but not both." It's easy enough to see that both of them cannot be in, but does this rule mandate that AT LEAST one of them is in? If so, can you also point me to the lecture in the core curriculum where this is explained?
Thanks so much

Don’t know how it goes, but I wish best of luck and hope it goes well.
Georgetown is my top pick.
Thank you! Mine as well. I found some helpful tips about GULC interview on Reddit. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
I applied ED and application went complete about 10/28. Was just invited for a group interview today. Does anyone know how a Georgetown interview usually goes? Formal or informal? Insanely nervous in a good way. Want to be as prepared as possible.
Hey guys! I'm meeting with the senior dean of admission from William and Mary today and was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what I should ask. I have a list of questions about things I'm interested in (culture, clinics/programs, etc.), but if anyone has anything they think would be worth asking let me know. If you have a question of your own I will even ask it and get back to you with the answer.
Thanks!
I understand it’s the 50th percentile. Some schools have weird numbers thought. GWU has a range of 159 (25th percentile) to 167 (75th percentile). But for some reason their median is a 166. How is the median one point from the 75th and 7 points from the 25th. Shouldn’t it be 163?
I don’t get it lol. Can someone explain?
There's a lot of negativity out there, and a lot of anxiety and nervousness going around before the October LSAT. I understand it, as this is my second time taking it this year. But despite the feelings we might have (knots in our stomachs, feelings of defeat, etc), let's all say something we are PROUD of about our LSAT journey so far. If it will help you, I encourage you to write a little statement about the good things, despite or even in spite of all the bad things. I'll go first:
I've been studying for the LSAT since April 2020. A lot of times I have felt defeated and as if all of the hours I was pouring into studying were pointless. I couldn't raise my score for months. I went into the June LSAT upset with where I was, and when I got my score back I was not surprised nor was I disappointed with it. I felt nothing in a way. I knew I needed to raise my score if I want a shot at my dream schools, and I vowed to myself that I would spend as much time needed testing, blind reviewing, forcing myself to understand where I went wrong on all my practice tests. Between the June LSAT and now (October 6) I have finally started seeing my hard work pay off. I have scored 8 points higher than my June score 3 times (!!!!) and for the first time I feel like it wasn't just pure luck -- it's actual hard work and dedication that helped me raise my score. The person I was when I got my lowest score (148 Diagnostic in April 2020) vs. who I am now (scored a 167 multiple times) would have never believed I could raise my score 19 points. But I have, and now I know it's possible to do it on test day.
The point is (and this may sound cliche): it's not enough to look at how far you are from what you want. It's also so crucially important to actually look back and notice how far you have actually come. I really do believe that without giving yourself some kudos for what you _do _ achieve (however minimal), the journey will never be satisfying even if you end up at your goal.
I know that the people on 7sage pour their hearts into the LSAT and getting into law school. Recognize your hard work for what it is. With hard work, confidence, and self-awareness, there's nothing that can stop you from crushing the October LSAT. Believe this, even if you force yourself to believe it. It's a much better mindset to have when going into the test. Trust me.
Haven't gotten a decision yet but I applied 2 weeks ago and my application has been under review since Oct. 29

Im planning on either applying to Georgetown or GW ED. I only want to go to school in DC (where I am from and currently living). I think ED with 0 scholarship is worth it for my position but, obviously, it depends on the person and case. I hope you get into Georgetown! That is a big one.
I go to undergrad in DC and want to Stay here so badly I love it here! Also applying regular decision to GW!
My application at Uni of Maryland has been in review since September 3. It is now November 5th and I'm wondering if this is normal? I don't think it should take 2 months to read an application but has anyone else experienced this?
@ said:
I'm too afraid to apply ED because what if I get in .....with 0 scholarship - then I'm stuck. But then again it is Georgetown.
I am lucky enough to have a dad who has promised to help me if I do get in because he knows how incredible of an opportunity going to GT Law would be. Of course I would still have to eventually pay myself, but I am lucky that I could get that help. I am so sorry that the insanely high price of tuition is keeping you from applying ED ): it is a very financially discriminatory process. What other schools are you applying to?
Has anyone else applied ED to Georgetown or plan to do so? The website indicates that if you apply ED you should have a decision within 4 weeks!
When I started compiling my school list in May/June, I felt like I was very competitive candidate at some great schools. Especially Villanova, in 2020 their LSAT median was a 158 and GPA was 3.51. After covid, those numbers have gone up significantly. Their median LSAT is now a 162. My question is: Does this past year really make people who were competitive in 2020 less so now?
My GPA is a 3.92, I am a double major with experience working for local government, U.S. Congress, employment discrimination law firm in D.C., a teaching assistant for an entire academic year, a full time internship with a policy think tank in D.C., and some more extracurricular stuff such as studying abroad at the London School of Economics this year and involved in some clubs. However, my LSAT is a 159. I am taking it again in 2 weeks and I am psyching myself out and becoming extremely worried that this might be my last chance to get in anywhere.
Does anyone think I have a good chance at Villanova? Their covid numbers are 3.51-3.83 and 157-164.
Given that the August test will be 4 sections (1 being the un-scored variable), how should I simulate it during my practice? 7Sage only gives the option of doing 4 sections (all scored) or a 3 section flex. I'd really like to have my practice as close to the real thing as possible.
Hi Everyone,
I will be retaking the test in (mid) August and will be studying insanely hard for the month of July and beginning of August. I unfortunately discovered 7Sage late in my studies before taking the June LSAT, so I only had this forum for about a month or two. But it helped me raise my score 5 points in that time.... so I am going to continue using it of course. But are there any other books you would recommend to push me over into the 160s? My goal is a 163 but of course I will do everything in my power to get higher. I know I have it in me since I scored a 162 on one of my PTs.
I have already used Kaplan's books (bleh..they suck) and the LSAT Trainer by Mike Kim (amazing). I have heard great things about the Power Score Bibles. Are they really all that? I want to make sure what I purchase is worth it since I only have a little over a month. Thank you.
I took PT 91 on LawHub and my score dropped 4 points from what I have been scoring on the past 10 tests. Specifically my score in reading comp suffered greatly. Does anyone know why this might be the case? This scares me since I am taking the October test on the 14th.
What do you mean? It’s just a personal statement right?
