I see what you're saying, but with details like these I like to remind myself that the question is asking for the answer that is most strongly supported. Since we can eliminate every other answer choice, and A captures the essence of the main conclusion the stimulus is leading to, it is the most strongly supported answer choice even if it may not be 100% accurate. I've noticed this with MSS questions here and there. I hope this helps.

I personally don't think JY provided the best explanation as to why C is wrong. My thought process for eliminating C is that the last line of the stimulus says that words/lyrics have the power to influence the way we think and act.

So, C is far too strong in presuming that violent rock lyrics do not incite violence. While the stimulus supports that already existing violence gave rise to rock music, it doesn't support that rock music does not further encourage this violence. If it can influence the way we act, then that influence may be for the worse.

Take the "opposite" of answer choice D for example. If rock musicians incorporated even more vulgar lyrics to illustrate violence, this may to lead to an increase of violence in society. I believe this would be supported by the passage as well.

The word "may" in answer choice D is key. I would be weary with strong, definitive language when it comes to MSS questions such as "do not", "never", "always".

I hope this was helpful!

I'm aiming for the August/September LSAT, so if anyone drops before then I'd love to be added.
