Yeah I scored well below my goal and my average pt scores. I think it was just test day nerves since it was my first lsat, it felt like I suddenly couldn’t read when I started the test….and I did the retake because my original exam was not proctored well…which made it feel like a lot of pressure. feeling discouraged but going to keep trying. Just wanted to share so that you know you’re not alone, and one test isn’t necessarily a fair judgement of your actual skills! Here’s to November being better!

I was choosing between C and D. But i thought of D in terms of if his brother would have asked him about it, and he would have lied (meaning he know he lied) then it's indicating that he meant to mislead him. I see how C is the answer, I just feel like D could also work because if you deny that he would lie to his brother about it, then the argument also falls apart. maybe i'm just thinking about it too much, but I don't really understand why D is as wrong as it is.
I just got an email about it as well, but I called about it and they said they're still sending out emails
can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong here... I see and understand why E is a right choice. I just still am not understanding fully why A is wrong because to me, if the argument is saying that : understanding a word = knowing the definition → understanding a world = knowing the definition of all words in the definition ; if babies know def of word → babies know the definition of all the words in the definition → understand word ; and if all babies are doing this then it follows that some babies wouldn't utter words that they don't understand . Can anyone point out what logical mistake I am making here? JYs explination with "bizarre / normal worlds" is throwing me off.

Is anyone doing anything about tech issues? Mine kept saying it was disconnected etc and so I’m afraid what I submitted lacks some of the answers I input. I also started over an hour after my time slot due to trchnical troubles, the proctor was nice but the overall experience was not great. Having to wait over an hour to start really put me in a bad headspace for my first section which I totally flubbed :( should I email? I’m just annoyed about how unprofessional is seemed

Hi! So this is going to be kinda long but …I was having a rough time with RC and recently got some help that shifted my perspective on how to read these sections. I was getting the MP questions and others wrong a lot because I would have two answers left and not know which one to choose within the time constraints. But if you think of RC as a kind of big LR passage where you’re reading it critically in the same way, and trying to identify the conclusion and the argument points it will help(understanding that conclusion almost always = mp really helped me).
I have also been spending a little bit more time reading the sections so that I actually understand what I’m reading. Comprehension is what this is all about, so the better it is coming together, the easier questions will be. Another possible tip would be to try doing it with fewer highlights. Highlight specific things that will help you go back and find things quickly: words that are defined, people’s names, dates etc.
finally, I had a tutor who had me read the passages twice, write a summary and then answer the questions (untimed at first) to see if re-reading will help comprehension, but also focus on what you are doing during that second read that helps you improve. You want to understand what skills you’re using when you are performing well, so you can consciously apply them when you need them. That being said, I’m not perfect at RC (usually -2 to -4) but it’s become better for me, as I was at around -4 to -6. I hope this helps, these really helped me! Message me if you want to chat more and good luck!!
