Burn out?

I've been scoring consistently in the high 160's and low 170's for a while now but my latest score on my last prep test was 160 and I took prep test 60 today and scored 155. I'm feeling pretty discouraged right now especially with the June LSAT coming up in a couple weeks. I'm finding the simplest of questions really hard and I have to reread the LR stimulus a couple times to understand it. My mind is cloudy and I can't concentrate fully on the exam. Would this be considered burn out? I would feel guilty taking time off for a couple days when it's so close to the test date. Any advice please?

Recalculating GPA from your Undergrad

Hey guys :)

I'm currently doing my undergrad at UBC in Vancouver, Canada and hopefully will attend law school in the US fall of 2018. I'm looking at GPA entry requirements to schools and I've noticed that the GPA conversion chart used by the LSAC is very different from the one we use at my university. At my university my GPA would be a 3.3 but when looking at the LSAC conversion chart its a 2.0 which is extremely discouraging to see.

Do you know whether LSAC or law schools use your uni GPA or your LSAC recalculated GPA in regards to acceptances?

My uni counts 70- 79 as a B and 80- 89 as an A- to an A, whereas LSAC counts 70- 79 as a C and 80- 89 as a B. The class average for most of my classes range from 66- 70 as well so it would be extremely rare for someone to get 90+ and maintain a 3.5 + GPA. Do universities take this into consideration? Thank you <3

It was my first section and I didn't finish it on time (my fault too because I didn't bring a watch and my test center did not have a timer), I was totally rattled after that and am considering cancelling my score too :(

@ I usually take my prep tests in the library. I think my biggest mistake was no simulating time conditions as much as possible. Even though I did time each section, I took bathroom breaks in between etc. I think leading up to December I will blind review and really aim to take tests only under test conditions.

I don't meditate for my anxiety and I don't usually suffer from anxiety but the week leading up to the exam was extremely difficult and I was soooo nervous on exam day

@ I am so glad to know I'm not alone on this especially in regards to the score drop we've seen from PT's to the actual exam. I have already signed up for December but I am so nervous that the same thing is going to happen again especially with the added pressure. I wanted to apply to schools with my September score but every school that I was planning on applying to is not within the range I got in Sept. I also don't really want to wait another cycle, I'd ideally like to start law school in the fall. Please message me if anything, we're on the same boat and we definitely help each other along the way. Do you know why you had such a significant score decrease compared to your PT's?

Hi everyone!! I wrote my Sept 2017 LSAT a month ago and before that I was scoring consistently in the high 160's to the early 170's on all my prep tests. I got my LSAT score today and scored a 158. I am genuinely confused and I don't know what went wrong. I get bad test day anxiety and I have never even scored lower than 163 even when I had just started pt-ing.

I wrote the June 2017 LSAT as well and had really bad anxiety and got 160.

I don't know what I can do for December. My fundamentals are pretty solid considering I was hitting 170's even on very recent prep tests.

I am concerned as well that I did worse on the second time round and what law schools will think when they see that. Any advice on that?

I know that I can do well on the LSAT but I don't know what happens on test date and how to overcome that anxiety that gets me a score that is not representative of my abilities. Do I have enough time to make enough of a difference before December?

Hey everyone!

I'm writing the feb LSAT and I was wondering if anyone has any specific methods that really helped them improve with speed and accuracy for the LSAT? I can usually finish all the questions and only get 1-3 Q's incorrect by the time 35 minutes is up when I'm PT-ing but on test day I have trouble finishing the sections on time due to nerves. I usually will not have time to go back to the couple questions that I had skipped and that substantially lowers my score over the 4 sections. My understanding of the LSAT is pretty good, I just need ways to improve my speed and accuracy. During test day I tend to second guess myself. Are there any methods that worked for you? Drills etc?

Thank you so much :)
