My advice to you would be not to risk your potential by rushing into the exam and not getting the best score you could've gotten had you waited. The LSAT is no joke and unfortunately if you're applying within north America, your score may be what gets you in or out of law school. You want to do the best you can and 10 weeks just isn't enough time to do that, it would be very challenging to crack into the 160s with such a short amount of time allotted to study. I would not recommend only spending 10 weeks.

Whether the action was accident or intentional I don't really think writing that you had partaken in illegal activities of any sort will strengthen your personal statement. You can write about aspects of the experience such as being abroad having your visa expire causing you to be detained while you were investigated can be expressed if it is done right and you can elaborate on how that experience made such an impact in your life that it encouraged you to take up law.

Will answering this question strengthen your application? Based on the answer you will know what to do. Also, the LSAT is typically viewed as an accurate measure of your future performance in law school as defined by LSAC and a few universities I've applied to. Unless you can build a case for yourself move on to the next question.

If you can justify it and it has relevance to what is being discussed then by all means go for it but if there's a less controversial example you can give, go with that. Your personal statement is a first impression to the law school. If you don't discuss your political, religious, economic, etc views when meeting someone for the first time then don't put it on your personal statement. Best of luck!

Honestly I was going to study, I even watched a couple of games videos but then I stopped and just took time out to go to the test taking center, scope out where I was writing, got all my essentials in a plastic ziploc bag because they don't provide you with one. I also did yoga to help me relax and destress and most importantly I went to sleep early after preparing a balanced breakfast for the next day. My advice to you is not to study, just get everything ready to go.

I feel as though after having this discussion several times with peers, it would be nice to add a human aspect to the applications. For example, when applying for med school, applicants are required to do an interview and while I understand some people crack and fold under the pressure of an interview, it is really beneficial for law school in the sense that you can use that experience time and time again in real life going forward whereas the LSAT just teaches you traits that are developed in law school. I don't think the LSAT is a bad example because what you get is exactly what you deserve most of the time so it's pretty accurate but having more than a personal statement for the school to get to know you as a human would benefit a lot of people.

Honestly taking the week off work before the LSAT will be really beneficial because it will give you a chance to do some final studying and review for the first 5 days and then relax and mentally prepare on the last two days until the exam

Wow, what a refreshing perspective you give in that article. I personally agree with you and appreciate your articulation on why YAs are also adult appropriate reads, especially Harry Potter!
