Yes, the "Winning the Psychological Battle" section of the curriculum really won me over. I distinctly remember thinking "I would eat dirt if it helped my score," followed by "Meditation and building a healthy routine are probably more pleasant than eating dirt, so why not try it?" I'm on day 3 of daily 10-minute meditation and am swearing off alcohol and junk food until after the June test. I already exercise regularly and am looking forward to some nice runs to clear my mind after practice tests.

The LSAT Content that Haunts You

I'm working through the logic games curriculum right now, and one of the example in/out games is the bird watcher game from the December 2000 preptest (#33). I had to sit back for a moment because I vividly remember struggling with it a few months ago. So that got me thinking: what LSAT questions, games, and passages haunt you to this day? Why? Here is my list so far:

-the aforementioned bird watching game

-the rattlesnake question

-the carpet market share question

(If you're not familiar with any of the content mentioned, I would encourage you not to look it up! You wouldn't want to spoil the best questions for yourself, now would you?)

I'm also a fan of the public library, especially since my testing site is just down the block! I tried sitting outside at Starbucks for the first time yesterday, and everything was really quiet until a whole family sat down at the table next to me. I've tried doing a couple at home, but my pets seem to think me sitting down to take a test is an open invitation to come bother me. :/

Thank you for posting! I got a 158 on the December LSAT and hope I can say the same thing come June.

Something similar happened to me when I started doing the full practice tests. I got a high score on the first one, but after that my numbers kept going down. I was trying to do three a week and quickly learned that's too much for me. Especially if you're working full time, two a week is probably the maximum you can do without diminishing returns. Since you're taking the test in September, you could go even slower.

I also want to echo the importance of blind review and reviewing missed questions and difficult games/reading passages. If you're just doing practice tests and not taking the time to think about your answers and review your mistakes, you can't really learn from them. The schedule I'm using now is taking the Prep Test in one day, finishing blind review the next, and reviewing relevant parts of the core curriculum and missed questions the day after that.

Mastery takes time. Sometimes you just need to be patient while your brain absorbs what you've learned and can do it intuitively.

I never did full on ten copies (maybe 5-6 max if I was really struggling with a game) and have been recycling paper by printing the games one-sided, keeping them after I finished them, and then used them for one-sided printing for a new set of games on the blank side. That way you've still got the look and feel of the actual paper test while halving the amount of paper you use.
