In an ideal word, the best decision one can make regarding the LSAT is for them to just take the test when they are ready. I get that. Unfortunately, I'm not living in an ideal world and am working full time and studying 12-15 hours a week. While this is sustainable for the next month (and maybe until December) I have NO DESIRE to do it again, starting from scratch. I'm currently registered for the September LSAT and will likely score in the 166-168 range. Is there any admissions downside to powering through and taking the December LSAT as well if my score is lower than expected or I feel like I'm on a roll and can add some points with fine tuning? My current line of thinking is that it would be the most efficient and effective use of my time to build on the months of studying I have already done if I don't like my September score and try again for December. I know the advantages of waiting to take the test again in February or June next year include more time to study, but as I mentioned before, my current study regimen and professional workload are incompatible. Any thoughts or recommendations are welcome!

For people who were mentioning the Brooklyn Public Library -- if you have a group of people, you can actually reserve a private study room ahead of time. It could probably fit four of five of us and would likely do a pretty good job of mimic-ing real test conditions. If anyone is interested in that do with me, let me know! I have a library card and would be happy to look into reserving a room.
If you do want to try taking PTs with experimental sections, how do you add them in? I'd like to do a PT that is as close to the real thing as possible, but I don't know how to add an experimental section in without accidentally showing myself what the sections are and what order they come in. Do you just plop a random set of questions in the middle of your test and then not score it?
You are a mind reader-- I just spent the last hour searching for free proctored practice tests in NYC. I didn't have very much luck, but I'd be happy to join a group that took realistically proctored practice tests in preparation for the December 6 test. I'm in Brooklyn, but would be happy to travel to a more central location for practice tests on Saturday mornings.
Harris, Megan, and anyone else using the Cambridge packets --
Do the packets take all of their questions from a limited number of tests? Your advice on getting the packets sounds pretty solid and I think I'll get some, but I just want to make sure I don't affect my future practice tests by drilling questions before I see them on a preptest.
Thanks is advance!
For those of you who just took the December LSAT and are planning on applying this cycle for matriculation next Fall, is it possible to submit applications before we receive our scores?
I'm just wondering because a few of my schools have a financial aid priority deadline of January 1st, but it looks like we aren't going to have our scores before then. I'd really prefer to see my score before I decide to apply, but not at the risk of getting a good enough score but receiving zero financial aid.
Any suggestions from LSAT veterans?
I'm trying to working on my LG weaknesses using the LSAT analytic feature and one area that could use improvement is "Sequencing w/ conditional rules." Is there a list anywhere the groups Sequencing games by whether or not they have conditional rules? I've gone through all of the LG offered in my syllabus and I only see them listed as "Sequencing," "Spatial Sequencing," "Sequencing with a Twist" and "Sequencing and Grouping." Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
My last few tests have all been in the mid 160s and my weakest section is by FAR the logic games. I've printed out every LG in the syllabus and drilled them until I get get the 100% correct under timed conditions, but somehow it isn't translating to timed tests. I either 1) freeze 2) fail to push out all of the inferences so I consistently miss a question or two per game or 3) am flabbergasted by the random misc game that seems to be appearing on each test and therefore get it all wrong. Does anyone have suggestions for taking my LG performance from a 70% to closer to 90% by the December test? Is it even possible in that short of a time period? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
New York 7Sagers!
A group of NY based 7sagers have arranged to take practice tests on Saturday mornings from now until the December test. I've been planning on doing those tests, but they are in midtown and would require me to get a much earlier start than I'll actually need on test day. I figured we may have enough Brooklyn 7sagers to organize BK practice tests for Saturdays. Anyone interested in joining me for a group practice test on an upcoming Saturday? I've been taking my practice tests in the quiet study area of the Grand Army Plaza Brooklyn Public Library but am willing to relocate!
Thanks for this thread @!
@ -- Yeah, I didn't think of that for some reason. If two people have library cards we could each reserve the room for one two hour block and just make sure they were consecutive. I'm taking a practice test this Saturday, but that's probably too soon to get everyone together. Anyone interested in group testing on either the 11th or 12 at 8:30 am? (I prefer the 12th but can do either.)
For the RC and LG sections that overflow onto a second page, do those pages face each other in the booklet?
