How would you recommend applying for this cycle if you are scheduled to take the October LSAT and possibly the Nov. LSAT, depending? Everything is ready to go except for a second and possibly third lsat score. The LSAT I took originally in 2022, so I have an okay score on file, but wanted a more recent and better score to show to admissions.

Okay so the issue is the conclusion is just overly broad and unjustified? The test designers were just leading us the wrong way, and we should ignore the first part of the argument and just focus on the conclusion. "There may be other reasons to lower interest rates Further" .

Why does peach production decreasing dramatically not weaken the argument? Could somebody explain? If the conclusion is planting peach trees makes more sense for the Johnson's, wouldn't peach production decreasing dramatically(!) over the last several years seriously weaken the argument. If the climate or some blight for example has made peach trees far less productive than it wouldn't make sense for the Johnsons to plant them. Can someone with a better understanding please explain why this was wrong? I got it that A weakens the argument, but conceivably higher selling prices does not yield more profits, so that's why I chose D.

The idea in B that happiness at one moment may not bring a person happiness at another time - like walking on the seashore one time when you're happy and depressed the next - is ultimately irrelevant to the argument. Keeping in mind that philosophers claim that happiness is elusive and can be achieved only through sustained effort, we can eliminate answer B. There felt like there was something inherently wrong with the phrase "experience feelings of happiness" which is what led me to answer C.

D does not do anything for the idea of forming friendships. The idea is that the comfortability of approaching a stranger is the key to formation of long term friendships "most long-term friendships begin because someone felt comfortable approaching a stranger". D states that one might approach a stranger and be uncomfortable about it, which is irrelevant to the stimulus and the idea that long term friendships are formed because one is likely to feel comfortable approaching a stranger if the stranger is of one's age. The flaw in the reasoning is then, well what if someone is comfortable approaching a stranger who is not one's approximate age, and that answer is E. I got this on my BR but not initially.

I got a little confused and chose an answer choice that I thought would critique the idea that "drinking caffeinated beverages is not thought to be a cause of heart disease", thus I chose C "drinking caffeinated beverages is more strongly correlated with the development of heart disease than is smoking, mainly because that refutes the idea that drinking caffeinated bevs is not thought to be a cause of HD. Anyways, I guess I should have been more focused on the positive correlation in the final clause of the sentence, where A makes the most sense - because it is a criticism of the idea that there is a positive correlation between drinking caffeinated beverages and the development of heart disease. My thinking was thrown off because of the word smokers in answer choice A, I was thinking too generally, or about, "all people who drink caffeinated beverages."
