I think because the stimulus makes a claim about modern science as a WHOLE, so then u can generalize that at least more than half of people in the field of science would agree/act in accordance with the way science attributes recognition. But more importantly, the question is asking which of the answer choices the argument supports the most, not which answer choice must be true following from the argument. So the fact that the argument doesnt ensure anything about "most researchers" is irrelevant. hope this helps

#feedback for question 4, the wrong negation is the same as the original statement translated into lawgic. this must be a mistake.
