Logic Games Speed

Hi everyone!

I have been studying since June and took the test in September and scored a 163. My test was not disclosed (Irma makeup) but I felt like I did the worst on the LG because I had a bit of an anxiety attack during the section and had to guess on the entire last game. I have been foolproofing games nonstop (doing at least a section a day) since I received my score. I have also

done the LG curriculum twice. Because of this, I have seen my accuracy go up--I can get minus zero on any section during blind review, and I understand LG patterns/inferences a lot better now--but I have yet to see a significant improvement when it comes to speed. I am still going about two minutes over the target time for the medium/harder games.

If anyone has any personal tips/tricks they used to get faster with games, please share! I am looking to really cut down time in the next 11 days and am really open to any suggestions!!

Thank you so much in advance!

September Makeup Exam!

Well, over 20 test centers in Florida have cancelled their administration of Saturday's test. LSAC has confirmed that there will be a makeup scheduled. Is anyone familiar with the protocol for makeup exams? What does the curve for a makeup exam look like? Any information you have about what to expect is much appreciated! Thanks in advance!

@ wow, congrats! That's amazing! Would you mind sharing how you approached studying for the retake?

I have a 3.7 GPA and scored a 163 in September when I took it for the first time. My highest PT score was a 170. Georgetown has been my dream school for years. I am aiming for a 167/168 in December. Is a 4-5 point increase attainable in two months?

I took around 10 fully timed PTs before my September exam. My test was the makeup Irma test, so it is undisclosed, but I feel like I did the worst on LG. I let my nerves get the best of me and guessed on about 6 questions.

Does anyone have any advice on where to go from here?

Thank you all so much in advance. 7sage has really been vital to my LSAT prep.

Petitioning for use of Feb LSAT

Hello,

I will be petitioning Columbia to use my February LSAT.

This is what their admissions page says:

"For the 2017-2018 admissions cycle, we will consider scores from the February 2018 LSAT from candidates who petition in writing and receive confirmation of petition approval by January 1, 2018. Petitions for 2018 February LSAT score consideration should be emailed to admissions@law.columbia.edu. As we have in past cycles, the Admissions Committee strongly encourages applicants to take the LSAT no later than the December test administration and to complete their applications earlier rather than later in the cycle."

Has anyone ever petitioned to have their Feb LSAT used? Is there anything specific I should include in the petition (i.e. explaining the circumstances as to why I am testing so late?)

Thanks in advance!

Florida 7Sagers- Irma

Just a heads up-- According to the LSAC's website, the FSU and FGCU testing centers will be closed for the September 16, 2017 test administration date. The LSAC will continue to update its website as it is notified about which centers will be closing.

I just spoke to the LSAC. I am registered to take it on the 16th in Miami. They informed me that any test center that is severely impacted will 100% have a makeup rescheduled, and details will be released as soon as possible.
