Update! I just went through the results and can leave you with this as well: RC, which was a strength for me, was most definitely what I bombed and BIG. I went -4 on some PTs in RC; the big day was -17!!!! I did remarkably better on LR (thanks 7sage!!!) and exactly how I thought I would on LG, nailed some, failed some.

Wack.

Wow, totally dazed and confused. Diagnostic was 152, score just came in at 148. This whole experience has been such an interesting one, a test of my commitment to myself and my future, and I am proud I even did it. I’ve loved the community and sense of humor in this group and from JY. I think 7Sage is incredible! So thank you all!!!

I’m a first-timer and 42 years-old so there’s enough distance from standardized test taking that I really thought that was why I walked out of the test thinking I’d bombed. And again, as a first-timer, I have nothing to compare this to, but that the language of that test was obnoxiously different than anything I’d ever seen on the preps. I had real RC first. The questions were written so strangely! Obviously I won’t get into specifics. Strange is the only way to put it. Logic games, well we all know the real one had one in particular that was quite difficult but also had a strangeness to it. And LR, equally weird.

That’s my conclusion! My experience was that LSAC hired a bunch of writers who were aiming to leave me utterly bewildered about the efficacy of standardized tests.

100% glad the wait is over. My score came in at 1:45 am, btw.

@ Thanks for the reminder that it's a battle in the war, so to speak! Getting back on the horse for November....

Hi @! It sounds like you really are working hard! I had to come look at the forums just now because I wanted to see if I'm cracking. We have similar study methods and diagnostic: 151 and I was hitting high150s in PTs. Until today. I just bombed PT 37 so hard it's laughable. I would be in shock but I knew it was happening as I took it. I do well on drilling, and then get to the tests and whoa, maybe I have more test anxiety than I think? Maybe I'm burned out...diminishing returns? Hilariously I did better today on LG than LR. No idea HOW that happened. I'm taking the test in June. I'm going to breathe and reboot. I do find that meditation helps. I just ran a half marathon last weekend and kept saying to myself: if I can do this, I can kill the LSAT. I've got this! You've got this!

I meditate and did so leading up to the June LSAT. I slept like a baby the night before and was calm and collected for the 12:30 test. When I took my seat, the tension in the room was palpable. Still, I meditated and remained calm in the interim. All was not perfect though. When I opened to the first section (RC, a strong section for me), I read the passage and moved on to the questions and drew a complete blank. And then I began to panic. I had no idea what I was reading. It took me the entire first section to collect myself. I know it only takes two minutes to calm down when your mind starts to race, but I couldn't get there as easily as I thought I'd be able to and it took a lot out of me. I'm not sure what to do when that happens other than keep on testing. If I could go back in time I'd try to meditate longer or more perhaps, or wait until I was in an agitated state (maybe after commuting or something) to try and calm myself down to train away that amygdala response.

Right there with you. I woke up at 5:30 am yesterday with a start and raced to the LSAC site. Of course there was nothing to see. I keep repeating the mantra I tell my youngest daughter: worrying doesn’t change tomorrow, it just ruins today.

In the meantime, I’m getting into a strict exercise regime (see you later, anxiety), working on my apps and joining Rosetta Stone to improve a few languages. Routine + self-improvement = win regardless of what’s happening with my score.

Hope you can find some time for yourself!

I went in cool as a cucumber and then opened to RC and froze. It all seemed like word salad. When I got to LR I was elated, which never happens!! Ha! No idea if I tanked. It was my first LSAT, proctors were fine. Using the 7Sage proctor with distractions really worked for me. Who knew my own nerves would show up at go time?! BTW tested at Saint Francis in Brooklyn and it was lovely!

Hope everyone killed it!!

Ok to use actuals for practice tests?

Hi there! I purchased 2 copies of the 10 actuals (62-82, I believe) and would like to utilize these for the practice exams. My schedule has other tests listed to print out from 7sage. Does it matter which I use? #help

Kindest regards,

Nico
