@J.Y.Ping I feel like when I’m coming onto 7sage I’m not primarily looking to use the forums, and that’s just because my brain has associated 7sage with practice, class and PTs, and Discord is primarily a social platform, but I also believe that I should participate more in the social forums of the community here
Its so hard to speak to other people especially when other LSAT prep companies have discords for students to speak to each other, I was wondering if this is achievable and possible here?
If you want to see what I’m talking about, boot up one of his passage explanations because man it is gold and not a waste of your time
I started studying RC in April after solely focusing on LR, it was odd and I didn’t know how people got so good at RC until I started watching J.Y’s passage explanations
I didn’t watch his passage explanations to try and figure out what details I missed, I obviously missed details as I was getting 12-13 wrong constantly but I watched his passage explanations to see how he was reading
The biggest takeaway that I took from J.Y was his ability to literally connect a sentence from the third paragraph and connect it back to the first paragraph. I saw that J.Y was going sentence by sentence dissecting and piecing it together while still creating an entire passage map that held all the minute details together, it was in realizing this that I incorporated a similar style of reading and it has catapulted my RC score, and today I scored my first -4 on RC ever after 5 months of dedicated study to RC alongside a balance of LR

My BR and timed gap is just discouraging especially since i’ve grinded from a 145 till now
Any tips on how to close this gap? I’m trying to hit 165/ 170 before September 
I felt fairly confident on this RC section and obviously I was proven wrong 😭
So I scored within variance, which is totally expected, but one thing I realized is that my LR is far more superior than my RC, how do I close this gap, I believe if I close the RC gap I will be in the mid 160s, and how can I make my LR even better to the point where it’s -2, -1?
For preface, I know that personally right now I neglected RC in my studying previously, but i was looking for tips and advice on top of doing the RC core curriculum

@sydlaw Thank for replying, I didn’t PT at all when I scored my 154 but you’re right that i should space it out, what would be a schedule that is best to lead up to taking a PT
@jdputman Thank you for responding to this thread, you’re right I felt like when I increased to a 154 my studying wasn’t rigorous enough, I’m hungry for this 170 an i’m trying to really map out what would be considered as THOROUGH review? Any tips on that end?
For those that have made the leap from 154 to 170, how and what did you do, should I begin to drill only level 4s and 5s and then PT twice a week?
These two happen to be the question types that really jog me when i’m doing a test, i’m intuitive and I don’t diagram, how can I ensure I am prepared for february, my difficulty comes in those level 4s and 5s mostly 5s.

On here, you can post forums and response times may vary and there's not really a place where everyone can collectively just chat at the same exact time (I may be totally wrong), but on discord, since it's primarily a social media platform, you can get responses within seconds or minutes, and I'm sure it'll have a lot of members considering how big 7sage is.
