I agree with everyone else that B needs a better explanation but when you really think about this at some point it’ll click and answer D will become quite clear why it is right out of every other answer choice.
D is literally saying that everyone on the planet can’t be wise or intelligent (not even just one of the qualities) yet the essayist saying he’s already met some people who are intelligent and others who are wise.
I think a lot of people who chose B, including me, focus on the conclusion and the concept of “ not having both qualities” when really, the question doesn’t care about that… it picks up on the details of the premises and sees if you picked up on what D is trying to do which is negate the premise.

I’ve also had some trouble with weakening questions. I try to “think like a lawyer”meaning that if I was opposing this claim/statement in court, what best answer choice would destroy the link between the evidence & the claim/conclusion to draw suspicion. Hope this helps!

Assuming that the nano’s very small size equates to it being a single celled organism is an insane assumption to make.
