I am interested!

I am currently reading the biography of Betty Shabazz, the late widow of Malcolm X. "Betty Shabazz, Surviving Malcolm X: A Journey of Strength from Wife to Widow to Heroine"

The author, John R. Rickford, really paints an enormous, painful, and beautiful picture of Betty, by showing how warm and sincere she was. Also, the more I read this book, the more certain I become that Malcolm needed her, just as much as she needed him. Almost as if it they were destined to be husband and wife.

I am Moving On — Thank you, 7Sage.

I am moving on from the LSAT. I sat for the November exam and just recently sat for the January exam to increase my score, but it doesn’t matter what I get; I have to move on from this test.

I’ve gotten into three schools so far, but I applied to a fair amount, so there are still decisions to be made. However, by the time the dust settles, my account here will be permanently expired. My only desire is that I pick the school that is the right fit for me: T14 or not.

Throughout this journey, I had to continually remind myself that I’m going to law school to provide a helping hand by attempting to bring us all toward human wholeness and into the light of understanding. Keeping that at my core, It doesn’t matter what school I attend or what law I may or may not practice; meeting the human need is the reasoning behind this pursuit.

So, to those who will read this, I wish you profound success and clarity on your journey. Everything positive that can happen will, just not always how we expect it. Nevertheless, you will get into law school.

Stay kind, stay hopeful, and stay determined.

Thank you, 7Sage — I’ll see you all on the other side.

Best,

Aristotle

Some of you all are focusing on the wrong things. It doesn’t matter if the person behind this post is a 170+ scorer, and it doesn’t matter — though extremely questionable — why he said his proctor was from India.

What matters is that this proctor continuously interrupted this person as they took one of the biggest test of their life. We all know how much time and energy we put into this test, and for LSAC to know that and hire someone who doesn’t, is extremely negligent and inconsiderate.

Congrats, man!

My girl friend wants to go to Business school, so I’m eager to learn how and what you used to study for the GMAT?

What helped me the most was trying to up my pace on the early part of the LR section. Once I learned that the early half of LR was typically far easier, I gained a degree of confidence that translated to decisiveness which helped me avoid dwelling on Qs or waffling between ACs. The ability to put in a second round of review usually saves me from about 2 incorrect ACs per section. Watching the real-time videos JY posts for PTs >~75 is a perfect exhibition of this technique.

If you're still pressed for time at the backend, there's usually a PF Q that will certainly demand ~2 mins, so I'd avoid skipping that altogether and finishing the remainder before attacking that one. The key, imo, is to know when to cut losses while also sequestering any confusion or indecision from Q to Q; don't linger and don't carry any indecision into the next Qs, especially if you skip around. It doesn't hurt if you can average 35-45 seconds for the early layups either!

Thank you for this! I really appreciate it. I have noticed the PF question on the backend, and though its usually easy logic, it's the AC's that take up the time

Tomorrow, 2/22/2021 is when my account here will expire. If you find yourself reading this while you are on your LSAT journey, I hate to spoil the ending for you, but it all works out; you will get into law school. Please, do not let this test eat you alive. What should be, will be, and when it is our time, it is our time, and your time is coming. You are going to be okay.

BackEnd Struggles

Hi,

Majority, if not all, of my misses on LR come from the backend of the section: 17-25. Does anyone have any advice to get over this hump?

I've graduated undergrad three years ago, so my answer to this has matured throughout the years. I want to go into public interest law, so I am looking to schools that have clinics/specializations that I am interested in. Location isn't so much a problem for me, just not west - given the amount of money it takes to live on the west coast. Lastly, as it was stated above, I do look at schools that tend to give more money. I need scholarship money lol.

Be honest with yourself is a famous cliché. This, like many clichés, so lame and unexciting on the surface, actually expresses a great and terrible truth. So start there.

This is the best RC passage I’ve read while studying for the LSAT. A better world is always possible, but to do that at each stages, requires us to think of life as a possibility. I STAN.

Hey guys, I have a question how does a tutor help you, and how do you know if you need one?

For me, I am thinking about one for more accountability.

Practice Test strategy

Hi everyone,

I just made the transition from the curriculum to taking practice test. I have taken two so far: Feb. 1997 and PT36 Dec. 2001. I am aiming to sit for the actual test November 14th of this year, but I want to make sure I am using my time wisely.

Does anyone have a strategy with the practice test? Should I take about 10 or so test from PT36-58 Group then take about 10 from the 59+ group?

I’m open to discussion.

I currently have @ as my tutor, and I can tell, from his own “brute forced” journey, he actually wants me to succeed, too. He pushes me to think, he’s honesty, but he also knows the LSAT is a process. With his help and with my outside work, I know everything will work out!

Post LSAT

I studied hard for this test since March of this year, and I sat for the November Flex on the 7th. As I was studying, time seemed to move extremely fast and now that I have completed the test, time seems to be moving extremely slow. Nothing took me by surprise on the flex, but I think I caught a case of test anxiety: things felt so surreal as I was taking the test that it kind of felt fake? I don't know how to really express my emotions with words; however, now I wait to see this score that I feel will be low, but the post LSAT life, where I go cold-turkey with studying, is something that feels hallow to an extent because you put so much time and effort on the test and now it's over for a little bit. It's weird.

I am not sure what this post even means, but cheers to the LSAT takers!

7Sage Tutor?

Hi you all,

I listened to the latest 7sage podcast episode and the young man sharing his testimony mentioned that he got a tutor from the community. I have always been interested in this. Can anyone point in the right direction to make that happen for myself?

Best,

Aristotle
