Hey guys!

So I graduate in may and I'm looking to move to Texas to gain residency. I am going to apply to UT next year, and one of their admissions criteria is geographical diversity, so they're looking for underrepresented areas of texas. I currently live 40 miles away from El Paso, Texas and 600 miles away from Austin. I am thinking they'd pass over someone already living in Austin. Am I giving this too much thought and this is really an unimportant soft factor?

On another note, I'm going to begin studying for the lsat again with 7sage as soon as I graduate. Currently scoring at 156.

So, last time I was here I got some really great advice from a number of people, and I made a few life decisions. To get to a 170 (I'm at a 152 diagnostic), I'm going to take a gap year, as I graduate in may, and all this year I'm going to prep with 7sage ultimate. I will take the test next June. Does this sound like a solid plan?

@ I am using the Lawschooli schedule but it is so dense. I'm already a week behind. @ I'm halfway through LSAT trainer though. I think I'm just going to start over and slow down. I'm just worried that I won't be able to dedicate much time to studying over the semester because I work and do a lot of volunteering with organizations and take 6 classes. I'm thinking about getting the Ultimate + thing.

Also thank you guys! Its really reassuring to get guidance from people who seem to know what they're talking about.

Oh my gosh. I should have posted this yesterday because I registered for the September LSAT yesterday. Fml. I'm currently using a 4 month schedule that used the Powers core books and the LSAT trainer but I'm quickly falling behind in it. Perhaps I should just take it in December.

Currently freaking out

I took my cold diagnostic a couple of weeks ago and got a 152 w/ -18 in lg, -7 and -6 in lr, and -7 in rc. I've been self studying for about 2 weeks and it is so frustrating!!! Balancing work and studying is so difficult. I'm just worried I won't be able to improve to a 169 by September.

Echoing what everyone else's been saying above, I say FUCK THE LSAT for the time being. Your family and YOU are the most important in life. The LSAT/law school comes AFTER all this. I wouldn't be able to study at all as well. Drop the LSAT. Take good care of your mother. Bounce back once she's adequately taken care of. Law schools don't go anywhere. YOU GOT THIS! (3(/p)

I completely agree with this point of view. Law school is always going to be there, and i can tell that you're passionate enough to not fall behind if you wait one more application cycle. Obviously I don't know your family situation, but my advice is to be there for your family, they're the only ones you've got.
