I'm so sorry this happened to you. I do want to thank you however, for giving us the heads-up on possible interruptions and monitoring issues!

Are you all applying for the 2021 application cycle?

You can hit reschedule and look at the times without committing to change your time. Also, adjust the clock a few times to get the times available throughout the day, they don't all show up on one time setting. Hope this helps!

$100 isn't much, but I hope the tutor does't refund it. OP seems like a serial Karen that complains until he gets his way. Refunding him would reward his tantrum.

🤣 serial Karen check

I want to offer my opinion regarding user, “heart shaped box.” I consider Di a very helpful and valuable member of this community. He has posted hundreds, if not thousands of explanations and replies to comments in the core curriculum and individual questions. Obviously, Di is dedicated and committed to the LSAT prep community and I appreciate his perspective and his time very much. I think using words such as “fraud and thief” is libelous and untrue. I don’t think those accusations even fit the circumstances noted above. And clearly Di does a lot of free work helping students. Please rethink your emotional comments before posting publicly. Its opportunist to blame Covid19 for everything.

Hope for score dips!

Dear 7Sagers,

Thanks to the community and the great material here on 7sage I received a very pleasing 160 on the November LSAT Flex.

I tell you because I’ve seen a lot of discouragement and disappointment in the forum on score release day!

I first took August 2020, got a 154, score preview cancelled that score.

Second I took September, I got the shredder game (look it up) I bombed LG, ended up with a 151 on my permanent LSAT record.

I have averaged 158, across 30 PT’s and am fairly consistently improving... when this 151 came, I was very disappointed but I jumped back in right away for November!

I took the test 11/10/20, afternoon.

Program shut down in the middle of RC passage, someone also knocked on my door which was distracting. But I pushed through... kept focus as much as possible.

I got a 160 score today. I am so delighted.

All this to say, I felt hopeless a few weeks ago, but I started drilling games, doing 8-10 games a day. I have thoroughly worked and understand at least 80% of all games! I explain them to anyone who will listen. I really visualize.

As for strategy, imagine your score with a -0 on games, which you may be able to achieve by the January 16th administration! Work your games, read some passages and outline them to yourself! You can recover from a dropped score! I did! I believe in you! Message me if you need any help!!

All Best!

Heather

Keep your chin up! Keep trying, do every game you can, read hard passages and summarize them to yourself! Improvements can and do happen! You can do this!

Oh, that is tough. I’m sorry they’re asking for you to take that additional

stressful step. I think the bullet point list would suffice, you could explain that you’re not done and that you’re studying and whatnot. My advice is to get these things over to your recommender ASAP! You want to get those letters in so you can proceed with your app! I had a recommender make an error, so I had to ask them to resubmit and you want to allow time

for any hiccups! Best of luck!

I have pondered the question of old scores vs. newer test scores myself. I mean, all things being equal one would think the tests would be very close to consistent difficulty overall. I agree that a good gauge would be to always challenge yourself with a wide variety of test questions and hopefully you will learn and grow from each type. I had a tutor scoff at the older tests, but I think there is knowledge to be gained by using questions even if they are from the 1990's. I believe that they're included in the 7Sage test prep package because they are an important facet of a limited resource!

Hi! It's pretty simple and straightforward. They give you a scenario with a choice and you argue for one of the options. I think I just searched youtube (nothing specifically memorable) In my opinion it was a complete waste of time, lol. It's so simple and we have so many other opportunities to showcase out writing and reasoning during the application process and LSAT. But seriously, don't stress. It's a piece of cake. You can make some notes, you get spell check and 35 minutes to make your point. You'll rock it!

I think you should go for the higher score, however you have to do that. There is a world of difference between the 156 score and a 165 score! Go for it! You'll most likely be off those waitlists with a score above 160!

If you just go ahead and cancel your August test, through ProctorU and LSAC, and then you register for October, when you go to check out, the LSAC website will say you have a "coupon" or credit and would you like to use it for the October test. I did this for July/October, so I saw it first hand!

Hi Everyone, has anyone seen feedback on the at home “flex” test from April or May?

In addition, I’d like to ask if people here are hoping to take the flex version or hoping the original testing center or university proctored test will be administered?

Personally, I am happy to try the flex version, mainly because the number of sections are fewer and also because I am comfortable in my environment!

I’m just curious! Thanks

I would be interested if you'd consider late afternoons/evenings. What time zone?

Does anyone know when we will be able to select test date/time?

Hi, just to let you know, I just received an email about the time/date selection for the October administration. So, judging by this timeline, you should be able to register for the November administration on or around November 1st (it's been 2 weeks prior to the first testing day available). Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Hi! Since you’re asking, here’s what I think! Gather all of the current dispositions of all of your cases. Write a stellar addendum, in chronological order explaining each offense, follow the guidelines on 7sage admissions. Don’t make excuses or minimize, just be honest and factual. Apply to a broader range of schools, if your criminal history devalues your application a bit, you may not get into your top choice, but you may still get in to your 5th choice! Do everything you can to show you’ve changed and you regret the mistakes in your past, but emphasize that it makes you a more understanding and experienced person. I know someone personally who has a DUI causing death, and they’re currently attending law school. Your record pales in comparison to that. Go easy on yourself. No one is perfect! Put your best foot forward and press on!

You could delete the section and do it again with the correct time. Once you exit a section you can’t go back in to active answering unless you delete!

Hey! Congratulations! As you know, graduation from NYU will undoubtedly open many doors for you! However it's almost as if the old adage "...in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes." ought to be amended to include student debt. I understand the weight of this question, and its certainly daunting to consider signing on for such a debt. Did you receive scholarship offers to other top choice schools?

Look at the big picture as a whole! You will pay off law school eventually and you will be ok! I vacillate between taking the best scholarship offer and attending the most competitive school myself. Please keep us informed as to which you choose to do!

You might need to check your eyesight and try computer glare and/or blue light blockers. I was having a hard time focusing on those dense paragraphs on the computer, and I got a small magnification and blue light blockers and the reading is much better now. It is really lame to have to dissect those super compressed paragraphs whilst not being able to annotate them! But, we just have to try to make it work!

@ @ you are mistaken, miriam's first example is correct. if we have A-->B and the conclusion is B some C, A-->C would most certainly make this a valid argument.

A-->B

A-->C

B some C

This is a valid argument. Specifically, its valid argument form #6. However, we could also bridge the gap by adding the premise A some C or A most C.

Thanks for the clarification. I typed my response under a false assumption that the A most C was in the necessary condition. Duh. She clearly wrote conclusion. I apologize for adding to the confusion.

Hi! The "v.high priority" refers to your need to focus on those questions because you got them wrong. "V.High priority" comes after a wrong answer choice is selected. You can also reduce the "priority" of a wrong answer by getting the questions right during a blind review, in that case it changes the priority to "high." So, you aren't getting them wrong because they're high priority, they're high priority because they're wrong. I hope this clears it up for you!

I agree with what’s been said and I’d like to add my own experience to offer help! I ordered the blue light glasses with a very light (0.25) magnification, I use these in addition to using predominantly one eye, closing the other eye and using a pencil to underline while reading! This has been very helpful for RC and longer LR passages and AC’s. I’m back to practicing LG’s on paper at the moment which is again emphasizing my preference for paper... but we must adapt!! Try several things! You’ll find something that works!

Wow! Thank you so much for your insight on this. I have been drilling some of the LG problem sets thinking about this very issue. I think you're absolutely correct regarding the "target times." I think rushing too much while learning technique is counterintuitive.

I have also listened to a few podcasts with high-scoring "Sages" and several have paralleled this sentiment.

I have been inclined to try to beat the clock to prove my aptitude, but considering the test taking experience as a whole, I'm just not sure of the added value.

All in all I have to keep reminding myself that although the press for time is a facet of the test, the real value lies in the understanding of the material and the practices to get to the correct answer! I am by no means slow, but sometimes the extra 30 seconds gets me disappointed.

I think, at least in my case, that I'll adopt a far less important emphasis on speed from now on. Thanks again for posting this topic!

When did you get admitted? Are you starting the 20-21 L1 class or 21-22. I guess I am just perplexed by the timing of your announcement. When was your 175 LSAT score, was it one of the flex administrations?

The projected score release is 11/24, provided you have your LSAT Writing portion complete. So far they've been accurate with score releases for students that have completed the writing. Good luck!
