@selenesteelman792 would love to hear your insight! I'm sure this is a unique, but not uncommon concern for other 7sagers!

Hi all,

I received a full-tuition scholarship from a 100+ ranked school that I have little intention of attending. However, I would like to continue leveraging this scholarship as I negotiate with other schools. I understand that May 15th is the "First Deposit Overlap Report" and I know that schools will see which offers I am still holding on to. Do you think it's necessary for me to put the 1st deposit ($300) on a school that I don't really want to attend in order to continue utilizing it as a tool for scholarship negotiation?

I don't want to tell schools that I am "considering a full-tuition scholarship from X school" and request a scholarship offer "more in line with X school", only to have them be able to call my bluff on May 15th...

Let me know what you all think!

Thank you,

LAWYERED

Hi all,

I submitted my FAFSA for law school months ago and I wanted to know if anyone knows when we'll hear back? I've been accepted to a couple of schools at the moment, but not all of them have given me merit-based scholarships and I would need to know how much the government is giving me, before I can safely financially commit to a school...

Hi all, I just got accepted to a low ranking university in the bay area via email on March 1st (they told me that I'd be receiving my official letter via snail mail). Lmk when you guys hear back! I'm still waiting on the schools that I actually really want to go to...LOL

Hi all,

I am applying to basically all the California schools. How did you guys get your admission decisions? I've been checking the status checker and my email CONSTANTLY and I was wondering if I should be looking out for snail mail too?

Thank you,

I would shoot your shot lol. What do you have to lose??? Especially if you don't think you'll reapply down the road.

So I just applied to some schools end January/early February, and I already heard back from one, and was accepted with some $$. I also had panic feelings about being "late" but this one school in particular was super fast in responding! I have to say it's not a T14, but I'm not looking for that, either. So there may be a difference in terms of where you have applied versus the responses you might get here.

YAY! Glad to hear you got in somewhere recently! I am also not looking for a T14 lol.

I have started to visit some of the schools near me (within a two hour drive) even if I haven't received a WL/decision. I think it's worth it to wait if visiting the schools would require flights + hotels + PTO, etc. But, if not--I'd recommend driving out and visiting so that when you have to put down a deposit, you don't feel uninformed and rushed. Especially since I've heard that since we're late applicants (I submitted in mid-Feb), they're going to give us kinda late decisions (March and April as opposed to the kids that submitted in December who might've already received theirs)

Late Applicant Anxiety

Hi all,

I submitted late (mid-Feb) and I was hoping some 7sagers could share their stories? Particularly their results.

Obviously there's nothing I can really change but it'd be nice to hear from people who were are currently in my situation or were late applicants in the past.

How long? Waiting for Decisions - Feb Applicant

Hi all,

I submitted my apps in mid-Feb (yes, I know--rather late but life happens) and I was wondering how long it takes to hear back from most schools? I've almost exclusively applied to CA schools (Santa Clara, Chapman, USD, Pepperdine, USC, etc.).

What was the average wait time for the schools you applied? 3 weeks?

Thanks!

A full-ride in the area that you plan to practice seems like the perfect choice (I voted for USC)

I am sooooooo freakin jealoussssss

Account Expires Soon: Admissions Course Access?

Hi everyone,

My account is about to expire in a week. I am still working on my apps though so I would still want to access the 7sage Admissions Course that I am currently using. When my account expires, will I still have access to @"David.Busis" 's Admissions Course?

Thanks!

Resume: Stylish or Plain?

Hi all,

Can my resume have style? The format I currently use is professional and clean but I was wondering if I should just make my resume super plain (like the example provided by 7sage's admissions course)? Is plain better? I want my resume to look eye-catching but I want to make sure that there's no risk of it downloading wrong or coming off as too much.

Also, is it okay for me to save my finished PS, DS, and Resume as PDFs?

Thank you,

Thanks, everyone!

I have decided to make the LSAT the priority but will be working on my applications concurrently and aim to submit them by the end of the month (or worst case scenario: the first week of Feb).

I will request that my safeties review my app asap and will have the other schools hold off until the Jan score comes in.

Can't thank @davidbusis895 and you all enough!!!

Pending LSAT: January or February Apps

Hi all,

Happy New Year!

I am registered for the January LSAT and most of the schools I am applying to will not review my application until February (after my January LSAT results come in). Given that my application will be held by the school and not reviewed until February, will I boost my chances at all by submitting in January instead of February?

Is it better to wait until I have my last LSAT score before submitting?

I feel like I want to use my last month before the LSAT to prepare for the LSAT but I also don't want to damage my chances by submitting in Feb. when I could technically submit in January and spend some time finishing my essays (time I could perhaps better utilize on LSAT prep)

Would love to hear if anyone else is in the same boat and would love to hear your opinion @"David.Busis" - I unfortunately, can't attend office hours because I'm in a different time zone and have work tomorrow...

Thank you,
