Hello! I started my RC section at a -4 on my diagnostic, and I've found that after studying the section, my score has gotten worse- going to a -7 or -8. Does anyone have any advice? Has this happened to anyone before? I wonder if I'm just overthinking the answers.

seriously. if you read JY's lessons on the psychology of the test and studying, he legit recommends 2 hours max a day (this is what I do). please take more time for yourself-- theres no way to learn with such a high level of intensity. your brain needs to rest, and once it does, it will retain information much faster
there is no reason for you to be spending so much time in a day studying!! spend at most 4 hours in the morning and spend the afternoon recharging through exercise, socializing (safely), etc!!!
Ok I actually just read the email and the website again and they basically just are encouraging people to take the lsat writing as soon as they can- but you do not have to take it before your test. they just wanted to let you know it takes 1-3 weeks to process and that you need to have a writing sample in before you can get your lsat score back. so basically, if i were you, i would just do the sample the day or two after the test (this is what I am doing), and not worry about it right now
yes!!! you have to send an email to LSAC and they will answer it as soon as possible, try calling them too. idk why they didn't make it available on the portal!!!! :(
Hello!! So much of the test is anxiety and how that impedes your mental ability to perform. Something similar was happening to me too. The best advice - take 2 days off before the test- relax with a book, see a friend, spend time outside, anything to keep the anxiety down. you KNOW the material - you CAN get the score you want - its anxiety that gets in the way. try reading Powerscore's articles on LSAT and mentality, specifically on breaks. Also listen to their podcast about how to bounce back from a bad PT. Hope this helps - and remember, we've got this!
