Hello fellow Sagers! I'm looking for some extremely honest advice as I have just hit (and actually surpassed) my goal score for the very first time and am wondering if I should keep my scheduled test date for October 2019?

Few things to consider: I surpassed my score even with missing 5 points on LG. I am really hoping that by the end of this month, I will be missing no points in this section and thus, will be scoring even higher. I would definitely love recommendations for how to ensure I perfect LG's in this short amount of time.

Secondly, this was on PT 60. I've read many times that older PT's are easier/different from newer ones so I am wondering if this score is even representative of my actual improvement. I took pretty much all of the most recent ones in preparation for my last LSAT sitting in June so I am not sure if I should begin redoing those most recent ones now or if I should keep taking the older ones that I've never seen before. I am on the 7Sage starter so most of my practice tests are in the 40's range and I have seen pretty much everything 65 & above from my previous LSAT prep with Kaplan (prior to June).

Any advice would be extremeeely appreciated!! Thanks in advance & Happy studying all.

URM SEEKING APPLICATION/RETAKE ADVICE

It has taken me while to post this because I was extremely disappointed and partially in denial but I have to come to terms with the reality..... I bombed the October LSAT.

I scored the EXACT SAME THING (158) as I did in July. I have all of my application materials ready to go and was not even entertaining the thought of a retake but now... I'm reconsidering.

I would be happy to apply with at LEAST a 163 which I was hitting consistently weeks before the exam. Suddenly the week before, my scores dropped which resulted in me panicking and possibly over-drilling.

SO what I would like to know is

  • If I should sign up to re-take in January (timelines considered, could that hurt my application & receiving scholarships)
  • If i DO retake, should I go with a tutor or use the 7Sage common core???
  • FULL DISCLOSURE: My first take I used Kaplan, second I used Kaplan & Powerscore (+7pt jump), 3rd Take I used SOME 7 Sage lessons but mostly used 7sage for help with blind review method & digital testing.

Being that the deadline to register to sit in January is next week, I would GREATLY appreciate it if I could receive some advice as sooooon as possible. Thank you all in advance!!

October Test: Last minute RC advice

Hey Sagers. So I am a week away from test day and I've been performing consistently well on LR and LG (consistently getting less than -5 on these sections). The one thing that is still KILLING me and when I say killing me, I mean i'm averaging roughly -7 to -10 on this section is RC. I don't expect to see this go down exceptionally within a weeks time but I was wondering if anyone had any RC advice/tips that helped them especially? I would like to go intot this exam as confident as possible, so even seeing the slightest bit of progress would definitely be a boost. Thanks all in advance and best of luck to everyone!!

I had a hard choice choosing between C and D because they both seemed problematic to me and they still do. 1) JY brings in outside information to make sense of D by explaining what a cosmic rock actually is. This doesn't help me being that I never would have made that connection on test day since I have no background in this field what so ever. 2) C mentions nothing about "cosmic dust", only dust, which isn't mentioned in the passage at all. Is there anything else that can help me narrow down between the 2 to land on the correct answer?

Hi everyone. So, i'm currently scheduled to sit for the October LSAT and I reallyyy don't want to have to post pone it. My actual timed scores right now are ranging from 155-158 which is what I scored when I last sat for the actual LSAT in July (only recently resumed studying & previously did not use 7sage). My Blind Review score is consistently above 165 which is what I am aiming for on test day. Does anyone have any advice on how to tailor my study schedule to improve on my timing so that I can make this happen? I am consistently losing the most points on reading comprehension so I can definitely use some help there. Also, is it reaosnable to expect to improve this much within the given time frame??? Any advice will help!!

Thank you both for the feedback. I'm usually a pessimist and have been one when it comes to this test but I'm going to try to remain optimistic this time around and focus on getting my average higher. If I can do that, I should be golden!
