You probably don't need help anymore, but just in case! Took me forever but I figured it out. 2 claims that contradict each other means two premises. But, the statement "15th century painters did not have a greater mastery” is a conclusion that has no support (because we reject the whole planimetric thing). So it is not accurate to say that two claims contradict, because his argument only has 1 premise and one conclusion.
I need help! I still don't understand why B is correct. Even if the new dinosaur died as a baby, who is to say that it was a baby T-rex? What if it was actually a new dinosaur that died as a baby? I can't understand how this is the best answer

To go about this question, I was trying to negate each of the answer choices to see which one "wrecks" the argument? After watching the explanation, that doesn't seem like the right way to go about it. How do you know when to go about it that way or to just look for a missing piece? Thanks!
