I'm not sure if I should apply this year with my LSAT score, my stats are that I have a 155 LSAT and 3.59 GPA, which I know isn't the worst but I also know that it significantly limits my options for law schools. My top picks are University of Oregon and Lewis and Clark, or Loyola in CA, but I'm not sure if I should apply this year or study and apply next year with a 160+ score. I do want to go to law school as soon as possible though, but I'm not sure if my stats are good enough.

@mkittrell thank you, will do! The thing is for Oregon I’m at the 25th percentile with a 155 but my GPA is above median so it’s kind of up in the air, I do genuinely think I can score a 160+ but if I were to start studying again I’d just apply next Fall instead and gain work experience throughout the year. But, at the same time, I REALLY want to go to law school ASAP so maybe I’ll apply with my current stats next month and if I don’t get in, I’ll reapply next year with an improved lsat score :)
@GemmaJones yeah my goal score is 160+, but if I were to retake it I think I’d do it next year and just focus on gaining work experience, but I could also start studying now and retake in November…the thing is I’d want to apply ASAP so maybe I’ll apply in September with my current stats and then if I don’t get in, I’ll retake next year and apply with my improved score :)

@mkittrell oh I see I didn’t know that! I’ve decided I’m going to retake the exam for a 160+ score instead of applying right now, so at least I can do my research! So basically I should look at the ABA report for all potential law schools I’m interested in to see their stats? Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it!
