What days and times are available to take the LSAT? All I see on the website is it says starting August 14th. I would be interested in taking it closer to August 21st in the afternoon.

It is a terrible situation. So many people applying merely because they did not know what other career to pursue, which is hurting those of us who knew we wanted to be a lawyer for years and now when it's time to apply its the worst timing. But there is nothing we can do about it except try our best.
I don't know the answer to this question but I have a similar issue. I get text and news notifications on my mac that I want to turn off for the test but I am not sure how.
I hate how they use us as guinea pigs.
I am also curious about the answers to these questions.
If you look at 7sage's law school admissions predictor, you can see that applying in October vs in November increases your chances by about 3-4%. It really depends if you think you can get a better score on the October LSAT to make up for the 3-4% chance decrease in admissions. Although, I'm no expert, this is just my take on the matter. From my personal experience, I would not take the LSAT unless you feel confident and ready. I (stupidly) took the LSAT without taking any practice tests. I got a 146 and it crushed me. My highest PT now is 166 and I am hoping to take the August LSAT with a goal score of 170+.

Can anyone else confirm that silently mouthing words when reading isn't allowed? I have a habit of silently mouthing words when reading in RC as it helps me be more active - I saw one person post that they were called out on this, but wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
Thanks!
I would also like to know. Mouthing words improves my comprehension.
Same. I totally did not notice that the stem was asking for the educator's opinion. Or if I did, I thought the whole stimulus was the educator's opinion.
You could be suffering from burnout. I would take a break and come back to it later.

it's all online through 2022, there is no in person option
Thank you. I was confused by the fact that it said August was not the LSAT-Flex anymore, but they would be offering an online administration through 2022.
I would like to take the LSAT online for the August administration, but I didn't see anywhere to select that when I registered. Will they ask us later or how does it work?
Why would you want to take 5 sections? The August LSAT and beyond will have three scored sections and one experimental.
I personally have never done any practice problems, timed or untimed with music. I've always assumed that that would result in a score not reflective of what you could do on test day, without music. However, I would like to hear other opinions on this because I also have the urge to listen to music from time to time.
I was in a similar position to you, except even worse. I had read the Logic Games Bible and done a few practice sets of LR and RC only (no practice tests) before taking the September 2019 exam. I got a 146 and I felt stupid for taking it unprepared. Now I am PTing in the 160s after finishing the CC and taking practice tests. I would recommend taking at least a few practice tests if you can do so, as doing so allows you to build up stamina as well as change your thought processes in the BR.
I understand that having experience in the legal field would separate a person from other applicants and boost admission chances. However, if I did not have any legal experience yet had an above average GPA and LSAT score would I still have a good chance of admission? Basically, how necessary is working in or having an internship in law in applying to law school? I'm going into my senior year and I have a 4.0 GPA and am aiming to score in the 170s for my real test (I scored 164, 175 BR today on a practice test). This year I am also going to write an Honors Thesis for my major so I don't know if I will have the time to obtain a legal internship until the summer. I plan to apply in October of next year.
I plan on taking the LSAT in late Spring/early Summer next year but I'm not sure what would be the better option since it is unknown whether a normal test administration will be back by then. Anyone else in the same boat?
It could be awhile before there's a regular LSAT again. I wouldn't count on it this Fall.
I did LR entirely first, then RC, and now I'm focusing on LG
Thank you for your insight. Logic games are my worst section and I'm terrified of them
JY said you cannot conclude a correlation implies causation, but that is what he did for B. Can someone explain? #HELP
Same. When I see numbers my brain instantly freezes, especially under timed conditions. I wonder if there is a problem set full of just questions with numbers.

Definitely complete the CC first. Practice tests are there for you to have an estimate of where you are in terms of skills, to test your understanding of the material, and the execution of your knowledge. You must acquire skills and knowledge BEFORE you test them!
I know the temptation is there. But a diagnostic of 146, which is around where I was, means you have a lot of things to learn and that’s amazing because you are only going to get better once you get through the CC.
Thank you for your reply! If you don't mind me asking, have you seen significant improvement in your score since your diagnostic? And if so, did this come primarily after you finished the CC or after taking a bunch of PTs?

You are fine!
Good to know, thank you.
If the LSAT score comes in later than the applications deadline, would I just apply to the school and then they receive my LSAT score once it is processed? Do you know how that works?
For instance, if I write the LSAT on November 12 and the LSAT scores come out, say, December 4th. The school's application deadline is Dec. 1. Would they just receive the scores after the fact?
Thanks!
What schools have an application deadline of December 1st? Some schools say they aren't even going to begin looking at applications until December.
