Hi All,
To quickly summarize:
I applied to law schools last year with a162 LSAT score, and a strong resume of federal government and political work. I got into most schools I applied to, receiving 50% - 70% scholarships from every school I got into.
I decided to decline all of my acceptances. I work as a political consultant for progressive candidates and campaigns around the country, and I felt that I needed to stay working in the campaign world for one more year. When I told my company I was leaving for law school, they gave me a huge promotion, which included allowing me to oversee all of the national political projects and campaigns that our company was working on. I was/am in a unique position to help candidates I support get elected, and causes I care about get brought to the national conversation. I'm glad I stayed. It's been the right decision.
That being said, I am reapplying because I want to keep my options open, and my doors open, just in case.
Clearly I feel that my applications and essays were very strong, as they resulted in me getting solid scholarships to the schools I wanted to go to.
My question is this: do you guys think I can re-use my personal statement and/or optional essays? How much do you I need to change? They personal statement was very strong and it worked out for me very well. I'd prefer not to have to change it, but I could see why that may look bad to an admissions committee.
Would REALLY value your thoughts here!
Thanks!
Why doesn't answer choice B strengthen the argument?
It seems like repertory theatre is a type of theatre that requires more sets than normal plays, due to the fact that they are changing sets every night. Wouldn't this then mean that they do REQUIRE enough space for enough sets?

Hi Everyone,
I'm supposed to start law school in New York City in the Fall, but I'm genuinely confused about what I should do now. The idea of paying a ton of money to potentially be taking online Zoom classes seems like such a waste.
I'm curious what other people's thoughts are who are in similar situations?
Just for transparency, I have been in the work force and out of undergrad for 4 years, so I do have the safe option of just staying at my job. I know it is a different situation for those of you coming straight out of undergrad.
Thanks!
On 7Sage and other blogs/podcasts, I have been hearing a ton of people getting nervous about the July test date due to the fact that it is non-disclosed AND a brand new "experimental" test date. It seems many people are fearful that this will somehow make the test slightly different or more challenging than the other test dates.
I beg everyone to please remember: THE LSAT AND LSAC ARE DESIGNED FOR UNIFORMITY. If LSAC were to put out an official test that was somehow different than any of the others, or is expected to possibly wield different results, then LSAC would be failing as an institution.
It is LSAC's primary job to be a reliable source for law schools vetting students. If law schools believe that the students they are vetting had taken incomparable tests, then that vetting process would be completely ruined.
Sincerely,
I'm Losing My Mind

Isn't answer E saying that "stress" could in fact be the actual driver of headaches, therefore making the narrator's assumption that VDT's are the cause of the headaches false??
#help meeeeee
Can someone explain in more detail what is wrong with answer choices C and E for 22?
For C, it seems to me that the passage is saying there is new research, and this new research has led researchers to come up with a new theory... Can someone explain where I am off on that?
And for E, although it seems stupid, the passage clearly states that a country is more likely to invade another if it is about regaining stolen or lost territory. The question clearly states that a country is invading a territory with some apparent risk. It seems that the narrator could say, by his own words, that this would mean it could be likely that this land had been taken from them in the past. Why is this a false assumption?
Thoughts? I understand why A is the right answer, but I do not think these answer choices can be eliminated as easily as JY says or what makes A that much better of an answer choice.

Hi all, just looking for any insight on what you think is possible/plausible/likely.
I just took my first diagnostic and scored a 158, then a 173 on the blind review. I still have 3 months until my actual test date. What type of score do you think I could or should be aiming for now that I know where I currently sit?
Thanks!
If this was a method of reasoning question, could C then be correct? #help
Very often, you will be able to eliminate two answer choices from a Flaw Question very quickly and easily due to their obvious faults, leaving 3 possible correct ACs.
If you become stuck between these 3 ACs, a tip that I have found EXTREMELY useful is to recognize that 2 of the remaining ACs are often actually saying the exact same thing, just using different language or phrasing. If you recognize the 2 ACs that are the same, instantly eliminate both of them and circle the 3rd AC as your final answer.
Yes, ACs are always meant to be confusing and seem similar. But specifically with Flaw Questions, these answer choices are MORE than just similar, they are the completely the same. There will NEVER be a question that presents you with two matching ACs where 1 of those ACs is the correct answer. NEVER.
An example (I have only included the remaining 3 ACs):
Question: _"A group of citizens opposes developing a nearby _
Admin note: Please do not post an actual LSAT question. PT72.S3.Q11.

The argument above is flawed in that it
A) bases it conclusion mainly on a claim that an opposing argument is weak
B) illicitly infers that because each member of a set has a certain property that set itself has the property
D) illicitly infers that an attribute of a few users of the proposed trail will characterize a majority of users on the trail
If you understand the question AND understand Answer Choice B and D, you will see that they are actually saying the exact same thing: that you cannot generalize the qualities of a group from the qualities of a specific few. It's the same answer, just worded differently. Cross them both out and choose your remaining option (A)! Even if you're not positive, this is a great way of leading yourself to the right answer!
What the fuck is with this question. The premise states that we are already assuming that the study is correct, right? Am I taking crazy pills?

Hi Guys,
How long does it normally take to receive your scores after you take the LSAT?
If I were to take the newly offered July test date, would that mean that I would be applying to schools before I even knew how well I had done on the test? Any insight, advice, and/or thoughts would be appreciated!!
Thanks!
Charlie
The LSAC has actually added a July test as well if you are in North America.

Law school diversity statements (depending upon specific language of prompt) should be thought of as an opportunity to dive deeper into what makes you "different". While for some, it may be the color of their skin or their sexuality, others may find that what makes them different is a unique job experience that they are confident most haven't experienced.
So yes. If you believe that your work experience will significantly differentiate you from other candidates, then you can definitely write about that.
Completely depends upon what your job was with the campaign was, and who the candidate is.
Should go without saying, but a traveling press secretary for Elizabeth Warren will look a lot better than a social media intern for Tom Steyer.
Hi all,
Would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. I have been studying for the last 6 months and am set to take the July test in a couple weeks. Depending on the score I get, I had planned on taking the September test as well. However, I just found out a dear friend is getting married on September 8th, the exact same day..
What are everyone's thoughts on taking the November test for this coming cycle? Is it too late? I will have already taken the July test, and will have already applied to most/all of my schools by then. Really curious if people think it is worth it to take the November test for the coming cycle with a July test already on the books.
Thanks!
To anyone who is nervous about having applied late in the cycle, I urge you to keep positive.
I took my LSAT last July, then got absolutely buried with work. I wasn't able to get my apps in until about 2 weeks ago (January 23rd).
Earlier today, I heard back from one of my top schools with around a 70% scholarship offer. Heard back literally less than 3 weeks after I applied.
I know this cannot be generalized to everyone, but I truly do encourage you all to stay positive! This shit is crazy!
Thank you 7Sage for all the help. This program is fantastic.
I got this correct, but still wanted to get other opinions on this.
"Of course, had either one of the other phenomena failed to occur, this would be consistent with the economy as a whole being healthy."
Isn't this sentence saying that if either car sales or real estate had notdone badly, then it would be consistent with the economy being healthy? Meaning you don't need both to be doing well; just one can be doing well (while the other is doing poorly) yet the economy will still be healthy.
So why is C incorrect? It's stating that if the real estate market is healthy, then the economy will be healthy. Doesn't that technically match with the above referenced sentence?
Or is C wrong because it is saying that a good economy is implied, versus just being consistent with?

Incredible!!! I do have a question for you:
I am taking my test in July, and I work full-time as well, often 50-55 hours/week. What did you do for your last few weeks of prep directly before your test?
Would appreciate all and anyone's thoughts on this.
The largest scholarships I received were to good schools in New York, but I have always planned on moving back home to California after law school. Is it normal to NOT take the bar for the state your law school is in, and to take it for another state instead? Is this crazy? Unheard of? Normal??
Help me!!

Excellent work! I was in a similar position when I first started. Make sure to leave plenty of room for pting. I'd try to plan for 25-30 tests if you're set on maximizing your score!
Thanks! I know it's not my business, but would you feel comfortable telling me what you ultimately got? Is aiming for 168+ reasonable?
