@ I see why you would interpret it that way given what I said but I did not want to give away too much information on this post. But my PS does not indicate my qualifications whatsoever, it is mostly my experiences that led me to want to pursue law. My PS is about my parent's divorce which originally was what I wanted my whole essay to be about. However, their divorce is what sparked my initial interest in law. But along the road, I mentioned my real estate license because it was a result of my own choice and autonomy, something that I struggled with due to my parent's divorce. This also ties into a landlord/tenant lawsuit I have witnessed personally that led me to want to become a lawyer even more.

I see what you mean by it working only if it's cohesive, I think that's maybe what I'm struggling with. I know I want to be a lawyer from these 2 experiences but I definitely think I will generalize it in the end instead of stating which area I want to pursue. I have already finished a first draft. I'm not sure now how to make it work exactly because it would be hard to describe these two specific experiences then concluding it by saying I just want to be a lawyer. Thank you again for your response.

@ really helpful advice, thank you so much! I was thinking of just writing about 1 type of law but honestly, I am not sure I will end up practicing either family or real estate. The core of my essay is about divorce and resilience so I figured it made sense to talk about why I would like to go into family law but I am also a real estate agent so I would also consider real estate law. However, I like what you said about generalizing but does it make sense to write about 2 specific fields of law then generalizing? Thank you!

I scored ~8 points below my PT average for the whole month before September test, normally I got -2 or -3 each LR section, but got -11 and -7 on the real test. I literally don’t know if I can get a score I want in November, thinking if it’s better I take more time to study and apply next year instead :(

I scored -10 below my PT which seems surreal because I have never scored that low before. I literally feel like I misbubbled or something. I know how you feel but we still have one more try in Nov!

@ thank you so much, you are great. best of luck to you as well!

Hi everyone,

I am in the midst of writing my personal statement and I discuss two experiences that lead me to two different types of law, family and real estate. I am interested in these two types but should I choose to write only about one in my PS? Will it make me look indecisive if I have not fully decided which area I want to choose?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

PS Swap?

Hi everyone,

Would anyone be interested in swapping personal statements for feedback?

@

Thanks for responding! I have a car key alarm system along with key chains and other car related keys all in one ring so I was wondering if that would have been an issue because it's huge.

@

Thanks for responding!

My goal score is a 165+ because my target school's median score is a 160. My last few PT's avg score was far below a 165. I studied last summer as well as this summer and it seems as if my scores heavily fluctuate, most of them being a lower score than the previous.

I really don't know if I should just sit for it just to get the experience and risk having a low score on my record. I spoke to my family about it and I get mixed feedback. My biggest issue is time, I am already taking a gap year and I do not plan on taking another because of a time constraint. Do schools see how many times you withdraw? This will be the 2nd time if I withdraw again.

Should I delay again?

Hi guys!

I planned on going straight to law school after graduating college which I just did in June. I was set to take the Sept 2017 exam so I could get in for this fall but postponed to this year's Sept exam. I already delayed once, should I delay again if I am not scoring where I want to be?

I still have not decided but I do not want to risk taking it in Nov and Jan as Jan may be considered late acceptance to some schools.

Are you sure?
