Does it matter if you answer questions on law school applications that are not required? For example, should you answer what other law schools you’re applying to if it’s not required, and other types of questions like that. And how many hours a week you worked at certain jobs, because that fluctuated for me so can I leave that blank since it will let me?

How do you find out when a decision had been made for your application? Like do you have to keep checking your application status or will they email you/send a letter?
I just finished sending in my applications so now I have nothing to do until I start school next fall. Is the 7Sage Law School Course worth it to prepare for law school/have something to do?
Do people think it’s worth it to spend a lot of money on applications? I really want to go to BC and would prefer to stay in MA but there are other schools out of state I am thinking of applying to as a just in case. Right now the schools Im thinking of fees add up to almost $800. Should I cut down the list since I want to stay in MA and have a good chance of getting into law schools here? Or should I apply elsewhere just in case?
Northeastern states that your personal statement should be no longer than 2 pages and that your optional statement should be no more than 1. My personal statement is currently 2 and a half pages and my optional statement is one page and a few lines on to a second page. Will it look bad for me to not follow the directions and submit these, or will admissions people not care?

hmm. could it be that he meant it more like, he'd be happy to have you as a student again in general, not just at HLS?
His exact words were “ I would be delighted to have her as a student again at Harvard Law School, and I think she will excel at any law school she chooses to attend.”
I didn’t ask him to but one of my recommenders sent me the letter that he submitted for me. In the letter he says things like “she will excel at any law school she attends” and “it would be a mistake for any law school to not accept her” which make it sound like a good letter to use for all schools. However, he works at Harvard law school and in the letter he said “I would love to be able to have her in my class again at Harvard Law School”. Can I still submit this to all law schools? My numbers make it very unlikely that I will get into Harvard law school and my top choice is BC. Will it be bad for BC to know I am also applying to Harvard?
I’m soo happy I’m in shock! I got a 164 on the October flex which is right at BCs median and my GPA Is above their 75th percentile and it’s my top choice. Thanks everyone for all the help on here!!
I just got an email from LSAC saying my score preview is available but I don’t know where to see my score??

According to LSAC, 9am. See the bottom of this page: https://www.lsac.org/lsat/lsat-dates-deadlines/october-2020-lsat-flex-deadlines-united-states-including-puerto-rico-us
Thanks!
Does anyone know what time scores are released tomorrow?
I am still waiting on one letter of recommendation but I want to submit my application within the next week. Does it matter if you submit your application before all of your letters are in? And would they wait to look at my application until all the letters are in?
My decision status for the university of Maryland says Interview, and I’m kind of confused about why. Do they interview people who they aren’t sure about if they want to admit? Because I am above both 75ths for that school. I scheduled the interview for January even though I don’t even really want to go there, so does anyone have any advice when it comes to an interview? Thanks
Will you be notified if your writing sample is flagged for review or will your status just continue to say results pending? And did people get their results back exactly a week after taking it or is it 7 business days? I took mine on the 13th and don’t know if I’ll get my results in time to see my score on Friday
I just took the October Flex on the 8th and am retaking again in November. I have less than a month to improve for the November test but I am feeling really burnt out and unmotivated. Does anyone have any advice for how to get back into studying? Should I drill my weak question types or should I focus on taking as many PTs as possible? Should I take a break or is it too late for that? Any advice is appreciated
The score converter is for the regular four section LSAT. So if you’re taking the flex version it won’t be the same and your score is what you got on the PT
I wouldn’t do this. At my school we had Pass/Fail and if you got a Pass you got a D- or above. Meaning if you took a Pass instead of your actual grade, law schools could assume you chose Pass because your grade was very bad. But if your grades are still in the A-/B range you would want them to see that and not a Pass or Satisfactory
I am interested!
Score Release Dates
Scores are released at 9 a.m. ET via test takers’ LSAC accounts. Starting with the August 2020 test, scores will only be released if the test taker has a completed writing sample on file. If you are a first-time test taker, you must complete LSAT Writing before your score can be released.
Your score will be released to the schools to which you have applied at the same time it is released to you, unless you are a first-time test taker who has chosen the Score Preview feature. If you have granted permission to your prelaw advisor to see your score, it will be released to that prelaw advisor on the day following the day it is released to you. If you are a first-time test taker who has chosen the Score Preview feature, your score will be released to others only after you have chosen to have it released, or at the end of the Score Preview period if you have not canceled the score.
Via your LSAC account Friday, October 23, 2020
I'm pretty sure it becomes available the same time as it does for everybody on Oct 23
I plan on submitting my applications this month and was just wondering if anyone knew when I could expect to get decisions back?
The faq on lsac website says you can use them so I did. Hopefully won’t be an issue

Going out on a limb here but after reading LSAC's policy, I believe you can still preview your score. They state that you have up to 6 days after receiving your score to cancel. If you have any doubt at all, I'd call LSAC just to confirm to give yourself some peace of mind.
From LSAC:
"How long do I have to decide whether to keep or cancel my score?
Once you receive your score, you will have six (6) calendar days to decide whether to keep or cancel your score."
"What if I have a hold on my score for some other reason, such as not having completed my LSAT Writing requirement or a review of technical difficulties during my testing session? Do I lose my six-day score review opportunity?
The six-day score review opportunity only starts when your score is released to you. For example, if scores for your test administration were released on Friday, September 18, but you had a hold on your score due to a review of technical difficulties and your score was released to you on Friday, October 2, you would have until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, Thursday, October 8, to decide whether to keep or cancel your score."

Thank you!
Can you wear ear plugs during lsat writing? I thought you could but when you go on the proctoring thing it says no ear plugs unless you have accommodations
My score might be delayed since I took the Oct LSAT on the 8th and will just now be taking the writing sample. I bought score preview, does anyone know if I can still use it if my score is delayed?
LSAC sends you an email with a link and a password
I just sent in my application on the 26th of November but I am so anxious to get my decision back. Has anyone gotten theirs/how long did it take?
I’m pretty sure the 7Sage Admissions Course says you should apply to 3 safeties, 3 targets, and 3 reaches

Hey Christina, I am a LCSW and I am now applying to law schools. I do not think that you need any specific degree to do macro social work. The MSW is a great degree for several reasons. One reason is its flexibility - you can do clinical work with it or some kind of macro work (non-profit management, policy etc...) That being said I think there are many more avenues for arriving at the macro side of things. To do direct practice or clinical work you really need the MSW or some other clinical degree. To do macro social work it really doesn't matter what degree you have. I think a JD would enable you to get almost any macro social work type job. Having the dual degree cannot hurt but I do not think its necessary and may not be worth the extra time/energy/money. But, if you are on the fence about law vs. social work, the MSW degree is definitely way cheaper and less academically stressful to get. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other social work related questions!
Thank you so much for the response!

Do you also have to take the GRE to apply for the joint MSW program? ... I know when I looked at a joint degree years ago, it required both the GRE and GMAT. But, there are some graduate programs that don't even require the GRE.
The only school in my state with a joint MSW program is BC (which doesn’t require a GRE) and so I’m wondering if I don’t get in there if I go to Northeastern if I can still basically do the same things
I don’t know if anyone knows the answer to this but I am wondering if anyone knows whether you can essentially do macro level social work with a law degree or if you need an MSW? Things like community outreach/research, advocacy and lobbying for social policy change, etc
I stupidly have not completed the writing sample for the October exam yet but I am doing it today. With the score release day being October 23 and the fact that it can take 1 to 3 weeks to process the writing sample, I am wondering if people think I will get my score on the release day. And if not, since I purchased score preview, will I still be able to potentially cancel it before its released?
How much can be in the room for your lsat writing since they ask you to give a full room scan? Like should I move a bunch of my stuff out of view or do they expect there to be things since you’re doing it at your own house?

Definitely not! Necessary assumptions must be true! They are needed for the argument to stand a chance. So in a sense you can treat necessary assumption questions as must be true questions.
Thank you

Hi, this link says the invite is invalid! Not sure if it's just me though
The link only lasts for a day but here is a new one! https://discord.gg/UUZBkn
Does it take a while after a recommender uploads a letter for it to show up as received on LSAC? I'm getting worried because my recommenders said they would upload them weeks ago but it still says "requested but not acknowledged by recommender" and 0 letters received
My average PT score using the Flex simulator was a 157 and I scored a 164 on the exam if that helps you at all. I think I got lucky with 4 easy games though

Until the fall I mean
Does anyone know if you get your financial aid package/scholarship amounts when you get accepted to a school? Or do you not get it until the Spring. Just wondering if when I get accepted to a school I will be able to have a rough idea of what I would be paying.
I’ve been posting on here about how badly I want to go to BC since before I even applied. Just wanted to let everyone know I got in today!!! Thanks for all the support
I did my writing sample almost a week after my test and I got my results in time. It all depends on if you get flagged for review though
If anyone else is applying to a dual degree program, would you be willing to swap personal statements?? Or if anyone wants to swap a law School PS with my MSW PS that would work too.I could really use some suggestions or feedback on my PS.
This is completely off-topic and has nothing to do with law school but I would appreciate someone's opinion. I am applying to do a dual MSW/JD program at Boston College and am a little confused by part of the prompt for the MSW personal statement. It says you should explain the relevance of past/current work experience to your choice of a major field. Does this mean your major in college?
My average PT score was a 157 and I got a 164 on the test so I think you can get at least a 160
I used a Mac and it died while I was taking the test so I would suggest keeping it plugged in while you take it
