What helped me AVOID answer choice B and ultimately get the question right was remembering what "many" really means. Many also means not all! So, when I looked into the stimulus and read that this is not a guaranteed success, I realize that the premise is also saying that not all succeed. So, the correct answer choice can't simply just be restating what is already being said in a premise. Thus, leading me to pick the correct answer choice.
What helped me get the right answer here was the fact that the stimulus says "hiccups experienced by many..." Many, as we know from previous lessons, means not all. Thus, the correct answer choice is almost just restating this premise - therefore giving us our correct answer, as it is not weakening the argument by simply restating one of its premises.
Here's a tip for anyone struggling with necessary assumption questions! At first I was really struggling, but I switched to using the negation technique. Basically, for necessary assumption questions, negate your answer choices. With your negated answer choices, go through each one and see which one completely wrecks your argument. That answer choice will be your correct answer choice. I was trying to do it a different way and was getting all of these questions wrong, but now that I made the switch I have been getting them right!
