Hi. Here is my take. At the end of the day you put in ample amount of work to raise your score. Take pride in that and screw the number. Perform the best of you're abilities. The worst that happens is you end up retaking the test, which most of us probably already anticipate.

You've put in the work and that work will pay off. Regardless of the number you want/receive the test will come and so will the score. Don't let the number give you tunnel vision. Check out those analytics and see what question types you should drill. Focus on doing your best. There's not more for you to learn, there's only time for you to improve speed and accuracy. You got this.

I know this may not be what you're looking for, but breathe, be confident, and know that you're going to do the best you possibly can. Whatever the score you receive, there's always a next step you can take; and clearly, you are already so capable of improvement.

this one just made me so mad. I hate it here LOL! Like why does the LSAT sometimes allow us to use a factor outside of the stimulus to weaken the question. Like UGH!

Yes. Study. study. study. Practice problems, practice problems, practice problems. DRILL DRILL DRILL.

I think it's possible because people plateau usually after months. You def can improve if you put in the work.

You're not alone. I feel so sad seeing people saying they cancelled high 150s. I am working so hard to get there and it feels like it's impossible sometimes. I take it the same day tho. Gotta shake off this rut and get back into it.

As I'm looking back at this question... I realized if I honed in on the phrase "seems unlikely to provide effective camouflage" I would've thought, oh it seems... to us (humans) the camouflage isn't effective and lead me down a more accurate train of thought.

~ I apologize for any typos or errors & hope this makes sense ~

Hello, I just noticed that there's 2 version of the 7sage curriculum. The new one is V2, so obviously it's an upgrade (personally, I like it better). I just got through about 70 hours of material for v1 and when you switch to v2 all the progress goes away, but you still can access v1.

I'm trying to let people know that v2 exists before they get into the bulk of v1 and make the switch like I just did. It's beneficial to request the feature, because you will have the option of going through the same material, but taught in 2 different ways. If there's a topic or subject you're confused about on one curriculum, maybe the other version will clarify things for you.

The way I got v2 was by commenting in a comment section on one of the curriculum posts. I'm pretty sure all posts are monitored by the person who could grant you access to v2. I would just comment on this discussion and request v2. If it works, someone down below would have a reply from a 7sage rep confirming their access.

Whoever is the first person to see this, if the comment thing doesn't work please drop the email to contact 7sage

If it does work, then anybody could just comment asking for it in the reply or as a new comment! I hope this helps someone not feel like they just wasted time on one curriculum or feel discouraged when they make the switch!

Update: (9/18/23)

In the comment section, Cherry a Rep from 7sage commented the instructions. I'm not sure how to flag or pin the message, but look down below! look for

If you're frustrated with yourself...

I just decided to do this today and take an untimed practice test. I really am thrilled with my score because it means I can score higher than I thought I could. It doesn't mean I will magically get that score on test day, but it does mean I understand more of the material than I thought I did. It makes me feel a lot more confident & proud in the work I have just put in for these past few months. Yes the time pressure will always be there, but I now know I have a lot more of the concepts down than I even thought.

This is more to boost your confidence in your studies. I have been threw a rut believing that it was impossible for me to score higher than I was on timed PT, but this changes that narrative. I can do it, now it's time to get faster. How can I speed up my process and maintain that accuracy, is the next step in the process. No more learning new things, you're just improving and refining what you already know. :) hope this helps!

@ can you please help @ access v2???

OOF. I decided since I have no clue if my score is going to be worthwhile, I am fully committing myself to the January LSAT. I have been fortunate to not have a job and am starting a position (finally the degree is paying off after 5 months of searching).

Not sure if anybody else is in the same boat, but that score release date being a day before January stresses me out. Also on a totally selfish note... February is my birthday month.... so I want to be done LOL.

At least my writing is officially accepted and over with. Shout out to my professor in college for giving exams sooooooo similar to the format that I just needed a refresh & overview rather than intensive study sessions.

I did not write an addendum and applied recently. I wouldn't sweat it to much. You've put you're heart into your application package. Be confident in it. If I were you I wouldn't add an addendum bc you don't know how the reader will perceive it. You aren't submitting it past the deadline and I think you should take comfort in that.

Hi you're not alone. I seriously get sort of discouraged hearing people scoring in the high 150s and 160+ range. It sometimes feels like I won't ever get there. I keep reminding myself that I need to be realistic. I have never been great at standardized testing, but I also know my strengths. I know my GPA is high, my personal statements have also been well received, and I have solid recommendations for schools.

While this line of reasoning seems like I am choosing to neglect LSAT studies (that's not the case), but it eases my anxiety. The score we get is just a number that someone will look at. I remind myself that my SAT score didn't correlate with my undergraduate success. That gives me comfort. Maybe this is an illogical view going into this journey, but I know myself and how I learn.

As much as I want to see my score reach 170+, putting that pressure on myself doesn't benefit me. It causes me to shut down, question my intelligence, and disrupt my ability to continue learning. Be realistic with yourself, your goal doesn't have to be a 170, it could be breaking into the 150s, that's still a goal you should feel excited about reaching.

Right now it seems like you need to find a question type that you like, and build your confidence with those. I feel good going into Logic Games, so when I am frustrated I turn to doing those practice problems. Yes, it doesn't necessarily fix my problem area but it takes the weight off my chest and reminds me that I have some sections/ question types down pat. On my PT I have started to move through the LR questions types that I hate and do the ones I enjoy first then move onto the hard/ questions I don't like.

Something that has kind of help is writing down my thought processes the way it's done in the syllabus. So if the question is wrong, I can see what happened. Maybe is misinterpreted something or misread the question. That was more helpful to me in the beginning especially since I was getting mostly everything wrong. I would do this even with hard questions and simply write "WHAT?, this makes no sense to me, etc" so when I watch the explanation I can go "ohhhhh, that's how I should approach it"

I hope this helps, and you're not alone in your LSAT struggles, but don't give up.

The parentheses around the negations are very confusing to me.

How would you write it without the parentheses? I don't get it at all. To me it looks like it should be read this way:

Not A Not B

but it's probably just:

Not A B

Am I negating both conditions or just one?

@ I'm not sure if you guys every tried this, but a 7sage website group chat thing with like active members would be so cool lol. Similar to forum where it has sections to go into with relevant topics to avoid too many people chatting together at once. Not sure if it's feasible to moderate, but a cool idea. maybe you can block words from being posted.

I'm getting frustrating because I know that I'm wrong in the way I'm thinking about the conditional relationship between these sentences.

"1. Mastering conditional logic requires some amount of memorizing conditional indicators.

2. Some amount of memorizing conditional indicators is required to master conditional logic."

my brain keeps reading it in the false relationship and I can't get my brain to understand that I'm wrong. I know that doesn't make sense, but I am trying to understand the foundational/conceptual reasons for why I am wrong.#help# #feedback

@7sage people please help.

Stress... Venting

I take my test on 11/8 & I find my anxiety consuming. I commented on a fellow 7sager trying to encourage them to not focus on the number. But oof... it's hard. I'm not going to even lie I envy the people who perform relatively well in the 160s range & think their score isn't good enough. I genuinely envy you guys. I also hate saying that. It sucks when you get back into the admissions cycle of anything because comparing yourself to others is detrimental, but that's also the entire point of admissions. I know those who are aiming for higher and also aiming for different schools and their goals may be different than mine, but it still just sucks to think about.

I'm not sure if anyone can relate. I'm really embarrassed about my score, but like I'm also not aiming for an Ivy either lol. Idk I'm sort of venting, but I feel like I don't see many of my middle of the pack people on here. So if you relate please join the discussion.

I'm trying to tell myself it'll be okay, but I put in so much damn work and to some I know they would think my # is terrible. LIKE I LITERALLY HAD A FRIEND CANCEL A SCORE I WISH I COULD GET! Good for them tho, they raised it on their next test, but still.

It's difficult for me to keep my insecurities & doubts in check, especially as someone who struggles to feel confident in my academic abilities. Even though I finished undergrad w Summa, I still sit here wondering and questioning if I schools will want me. It's so nerve-wracking. I just don't want to feel like I'm alone in this.

My advice is to be realistic with yourself on LR. There's a lot of questions, so for starters breathe. I started to really look at my analytics and figure out what questions I'm good at and which ones I am not. Then I would start to find another source that explains those questions differently from 7sage. I have really started to see improvements when I go through 7sage question type and look elsewhere to see where the connections are being made. Sometimes the concept just clicks when it's told differently.

I'm also in the same position for RC, but my focus has been on LR so I am looking forward to the RC advice people give!

OKAY DO NOT GIVE UP! You are on the right track. I know a lot of us are on here aiming for that 160+ but it is not the end of your journey to law school if that doesn't happen. I think you're are being way too hard on yourself. Unless you are aiming for an Ivy or insanely high ranked school a 150 with that GPA is not the end all be all for you. I also believe that you will end up where you will end up. DO NOT LET THE NUMBER DICTATE WHO YOU ARE! It's just a score.

As for cancelling the score, I think that is up to you. If it was me... I would keep the score and take it again and hope to show an improvement in the score. I think that is a great thing for you to try, because you have something to write about for the additional essays if necessary. If you do cancel the score tho, you'll have to probably explain it in an application which is also not a big deal.

Let this be your turning point. There is always a next step in the process. This experience takes a lot more than intelligence, it takes grit and confidence. The LSAT is hard and not every successful lawyer scored a 170+. There's a bunch of law student & graduates today who probably score a 150. They didn't give up and you shouldn't either. If this is what you want, don't let that number define your future or discourage you from doing what you feel is right for you.

As someone who has been there & doubted their capability, don't give up. You don't want to sit back and wonder what if.

Confirm action

Are you sure?
