It was all over the place -- I used (free) online resource to learn argument structure and did practice problems from the Kaplan Test books.

I think the most helpful learning tool for me was Nathan Fox's book to help me with LG. It wasn't even his LG book, just his general one, and then watching videos to diagram better. But I usually got a perfect score on LG, or -1. So, I am not worried about that.

I am basically asking for advice on supplementing practice questions in additional to what the 7Sage Starter provides, since I am worried it will not be enough or hard enough.

Drilling Material + Complimentary Materials

I took the June 2016 LSAT (seems like forever ago) -- I only self studied for 1.5 months and got a 160 -- what did I improve off of? I can't even really tell you. I didn't start taking PTs until a month before, my lowest I think was a 157, highest 162; On my official test, I got -1 on my LG; I can't remember what sections are what on my scan anymore, but I do remember LR was not terrible, RC was just bad.

Anyways, after some big life events I have decided to retake and I am dead set on getting above a 170 (but obviously aiming for a 180, always).

I am here because I have decided to buy the LSAT Starter. Mostly because I never really learned many of the concepts behind LR and the concepts I did learn, I only studied for about a month, and I need some game plan for RC. But, knowing that I am going to have to really drill in LR and RC the most -- should I buy additional books JUST for practice problems and varying levels? I am worried the the Starter won't give me the amount of practice I need or the level.

I know people are going to suggest upping to the highest level, but I cannot shell out that much money all at once. Just not feasible for me.

LSAT vs. GPA

I know LSAT is the most important part of the admissions decision, in most cases.

For pretty much all of the schools I want to apply to, I am in the 25th or just below the 50th percentile for the LSAT. My GPA is usually at the 75th or above though. I plan to apply ASAP, most of these schools are rolling admissions.

Basically, asking if a high GPA will level off an okay LSAT score.

Thanks!

When I was studying for June (and just started again for October), during the first 1.5 month I would take one practice test every weekend. I would also study during my lunch break in a quiet area and do practice sets after work.

Closer to the test, I did practice 3 times a week (M,W,Sat or Sun). Whatever weekend day I did not do a PT, I would review questions.

I would also like to point out that I work a second job on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and every other Sunday, so I was working about 60-70 hours a week.

This time around, I asked for all Sunday shifts off and will probably PT with the same schedule, but have some more time for BR -- which I did not do last time. It is tough but totally doable.

Hope that helps!

I circle in the answers in my test book for I put them on the sheet so I find it hard to retake -- need to stop doing that. I will probably retake doing BR, which I did not do last time around.

Thank you for the help!

Mastery Practice Material?

First time poster, longtime lurker.

I took the June 2015 LSAT and I did well, but I really have my heart set on a T14 and I need to raise my score about 5-10 points. The first time around, one of my friends was nice enough to give me study books she never used, and they had mastery sections which were good for just doing one off timed sections -- I burnt through those for LG and LR.

What do others use for this? When you don't have time to take a full PT but want to just keep a certain section in check. I don't want to burn through PT because I need to save some for right before the Oct. test (I already took 52-71 during my June prep). Is there even anything to combat this issue?

My games are great, usually minus one per section, but I want to make sure I am doing timed sections at least once a week to keep myself fresh -- again, but not burn through PT.

Appreciate any advice!
