I am ecstatic to be applying to law school and its all because of your wonderful program. In 3 months I went from a 146 to a 159 (even though I was scoring 162 on the PTs!!). I feel like after looking at this question again the answer was so obvious!
I chose C, because he does assume that the placebo will have no effect. D is better though (now that I understand), because Engle is more addressing that McKinley is assuming that the intended therapeutic effects will be the ONLY effects observed from the drug. The side effects could also be observed in the placebo studies (i.e. bodily effects).

Do you find sometimes if you skip harder questions they become easier to answer when you come back because you have a better understanding of the passage after answering other questions?
honestly I've encountered this and I start with the grab a rule question. It helps me to understand the game. If you have no idea of how to diagram (again this is WORST CASE SCENARIO), just brute force your way through the questions. They force you to diagram and find the inferences that you would have found diagramming anyway. It just may take more time.
