Hi all. Does anyone have any tips on how to "broaden" our knowledge in a short couple of months in general knowledge of science, law etc...to improve better understanding in RC? I remember JY saying in a comment that having "broad" knowledge definitely helps. I know I can't suddenly become an expert, but does anyone have any experience to share? I literally thought about reading something like "Science of Dummies" or "100 things you should know about basic of law" - OK i made those up but you get my drift. THANKS!!!

thank you so much. you guys are so so so awesome. and sorry about the all caps.
wow. thank you guys and gals for sharing your thoughts and experiences. I did the original post in hopes of alleviating angst, self shame and doubt of anyone ending up in the same situation as me. It's OK to admit that you're not ready. You're not dumb (say that 10 times), you're not a loser and deliberate practice/studying will prevail. *thumbs up*.
I withdrew. An hr before deadline. Keep us posted on what your decided. Good luck.
I contemplated all day and finally did what my heart told me to do and not what my ego has been telling me...Withdraw...You're not ready. Almost ready = not ready. Period. Any illusions and delusions I had about pulling a urban legend miracle on test day needed to be shattered. It was really painful to withdraw but I'm so glad I did.
Hi everyone. I took my diagnostic finally...and got a 146. However, that is AFTER inishing the curriculum first. It's just an awful feeling. I know it's the first test, but I finished the curriculum first and still only got 146. Do I even have a shot at getting a decent score? *sigh*
Ok so sorry to sound like an idiot but what is this "trainer" everyone talks about? Is it a book on amazon? Something via 7sage? Thanks!
Can you tell during the real test which section is the experiment section? Or is it blind?
Hi all. What type of clock is in the actual testing centers? I feel like it's very different keeping track of time on an analog vs digital. Any thoughts?
Hi there,
I just stumbled upon the Question Bank. I'm not sure if that's simply a resource if you don't have the actual tests...or if it's meant to be used for something else. How does the QB fit into my studies? My plan was to finish curriculum, do question sets, and then take as many PT as I can and BR of course.
@ thank you thank you thank you!
@.parham one more thing...isn't it always that way. ha. Do you think JY means to drill 10 clean copies in one sitting?
@.parham , yes thank you that's exactly what I was confused about...the process. That's exactly what I'm doing so I'm glad to hear I'm was totally off. Thank you!!!
Much thanks StopLawying
I'm taking the quizzes in the SA section and one quiz is all biconditional questions and JY says to review the biconditional lesson. Except I have no idea where those are and I have doubled checked to make sure I didn't skip any lessons up til this point. Help!
I'm so confused on exactly what "memorizing the inferences" mean in the fool proof method. So far for each clean copy, I have been reading the background info above the rules in a swift manner (as if it's a real test) b/c I feel like that's more realistic in terms of timing on the actual test. I then read the rules and make my diagrams and inferences and do the questions. But I feel like maybe i'm doing it wrong. please help!!!
My Questions .....
1. Do I still read the background info above the rules each time I do a clean copy? Or do I skip down to the rules?
2. And do I still do the questions? And if you still do each question, you obviously know the answer. So should i still stick to the diagram and deduct my answer that way?
3. When making these inferences...the first 5 times you're probably still looking at the rules. Is the ultimate goal to be able to make the inference WITHOUT looking at the rules?
Thank you all so much! please help! I don't want to do all the fool proof method wrong and find out hundreds of practices later.
@ Thanks!!! I'm just so amazed at the support here. Seriously rocks. I just discovered Quizlet. Ah-mazing.
wow this is beautiful! i really love the valid/invalid argument. do you have this in a PDF file . i would love to print it and shrink it fits on one page. Thanks!!!
Hi All.
Thanks to all who have taken the time to answer all my questions. It's time for me to give back. I'm sure there are various ways people are making their 10-20 fresh copies of the games. But this is how I do it and it literally cannot get any easier. Takes me less than 15 seconds per game to print. The big assumption here of course is that you gotta a physical copy of the test. So... here are the steps.
1. Get the TurboScan App. (Not free but costs you less than 1/2 of a cup of starbucks) 1 min.
2. Take a pic of the test page (fit it just right in your frame). 0.1 second.
3. From the Turboscan app, find that picture and choose the b/w option at the bottom right corner (It gives you photo, b/w color options if you tap through the same area). 2 seconds.
4. The App will automatically frame it for you so it's a perfectly straight copy even if your picture was crooked. And you can adjust the corners to make it perfectly straight for all my OCD peeps out there. This step is automatic but I just wanted to elaborate.
5. Print! If you have an airPrint print the you can do it directly from your phone and you can choose the # of copies you want. If you need more. Repeat steps 3 since you already have the picture. Just choose the game you want and print. If you don't have AirPrint, you can just email it to yourself and print from there.
I hope this helps those who are having problems making fresh copies the games !
#let's do this!!!

thank you. that is exactly what i needed to hear.
@ , lol. I can literally hear the NOOOOOOO coming out of the screen. Noted! @ , thank you so much for your perspective and your experience was talked about by other folks as well (not here but good old google) so that's what prompted my curiosity/anxiety. Thanks so much all!
holy moly. SOOOOOo glad i asked and thank you for guiding me away from DOOM!
Hi All. I know JY emphasizes to write small, fast and neat in logic games and NO ERASING. I'm not sure exactly on the actual test sheet what I'm supposed to for sequence question. Seems there there are 2 ways. Have one master diagram and eliminate pieces like you would playing chess in your head to figure out each question. Or draw a fresh diagram for each question along with a new _ _ _ _ _ grid . And he eliminates pieces so essentially is erasing them to pare down and yet we can't erase. I mean I CAN...but he says not to. Can anyone tell me how I should be doing this?
I read here and there that the newest tests are harder and I should do my tests backwards in case you run of of time on my prep. Has anyone done this?
@ omg that is painful!!! and also feel great to know I'm not alone!
For the practice sets of 5 problems. It says to time ourselves. Should we time ourselves to see how long each question takes us? Or time in a limited time sense. And if so how long should I give myself to do 5 questions. Thanks
Hi all. I'm about to do my June 2007 preptest tomorrow according to my syllabus. I know I'm supposed to emulate the test conditions to be the same time as what the real test would be held (early morning). However I can't do it this week b/c of my child's school schedule. The timing is super tight so I would be distracted during the test about being tardy to pick up at school. Would it be terrible to take the preptest any other time during the day when I feel alert? Or....should I wait and move on to the rest of the core curriculum and do the preptest next week when I have the time. Thanks so much.
@ , thank you. You answered my question perfectly. The ultimate gives me easy and medium sets. Would you say the Ultimate+ is worth it for the hard sets? T.Y.V.M
@ , thanks that's a really good tip. Appreciate it!
I'm starting got do the problem sets as drills. Should I time myself to see how long it takes me or set a count down timer for 7 min.
After BR, should I watch still watch the explanation videos of the 1. non-circled questions I got correct with 100% confidence and the ones I circled and got right with no answer change? Thank you!
I misread it as going to bed by 6pm. and i actually nodded in agreement. like ok whatever you tell me j.Y i will do it! LOL.
SA = Linsanity. Got it.
oh that's amazing! congrats!
