Is there anything we need to do on our part if we have already registered for the LSAT in August? Will we automatically be registered for Flex? I just want to know when we will select dates/times but i'm sure that is not available yet.

Anyone know how the scoring is working out on the new Flex? I'm confused as to how heavily each incorrect answer weighs on you now that there is only 3 sections.

@tamonestel568 thank you for the insight! Glad to hear you were able to score near your PT's on the LSAT flex by leveraging LR and LG, best of luck to you moving forward.

Taking August LSAT Advice (Flex takers)

Greetings everyone,

For those who have taken the LSAT or plan to take the LSAT in August, I'm around 65% into the curriculum starting In/Out and grouping games then reading comp. then PT's... Should I start a few PT's now even though I am a couple weeks away from finishing LG and reading comp?

Also if anyone wants to drop tips from the Flex test that would be super helpful, I've heard some common issues in different threads.

LSAT Flex (Will August Be Flex Too?)

Hello everyone. With recent tests being LSAT-Flex, I wanted to find a thread that answers some questions I have in case August will also be flex. If you know of any info regarding August's test outlook, please let us known in this thread.

  • I heard some people say there's no scratch paper, is this true? IF so, how are we going to write down logic.
  • Any difficulties as far as the experience that should be known? Are we using our laptops at home? Will the mouse be able to highlight and all those features we had previously?
  • Any one else have questions or comments please add below :)

any insight on what the outcome of June's LSAT will be? LSAT-Flex or regular LSAT?

Also, I have never taken the LSAT and planned to take it in August or October, should I also take it in June if there is an LSAT-Flex to get a sense of what it would be like with exception of it being a shorter test?

This question taught me to be more aware of context/conclusion/argument reconstruction.

Actually, after watching the video, I feel that "only moral behavior that is intended..." may be the major premise... due to it being supported by "Reason plays an essential role in any moral behavior"

hm we need more perspectives on this #help

I would say the "major" premise in this scenario would be the statement right after the MC,

"Reason plays an essential role in any moral behavior"

as this most supports the main point that "this very disposition ( referential phrase for human's natural disposition to altruism) prevents some acts of altruism from counting as moral.

However, it is still a premise.

For anyone that has taken the LSAT recently, I have a few questions as I have never taken one.

How were the highlighting and underlining features? Easy or did it set you back at all?

Are you able to cancel out answer choices like you can on 7Sage PTs?

I have heard you are given a booklet for scratch paper, is this the case?

Any other tips on your test taking experience is also helpful!

I'm still months out but nervous thinking about it.

    Passage:

    If $ for coffeebeans ↑ THEN Coffee Shoppe's price$ ↑

In the case that the Coffee Shoppe's price$ ↑ ...

either the Noncoffeeproducts will be sold OR coffee sales ↓

    noncoffeeproducts will ↓ Coffee Shoppe's Profit$

Coffee Shoppe's Profit$ will avoid a decrease only if coffee sales do not ↓

I agree with Anja, what helps me understand this question is that it is what is most supported, which is not equivalent to what must be true. The other answers are shown to be incorrect for a multitude of reasons.

Subsequently, with B left as an option, utilizing the passage, one can certainly support the statement that most researchers in climatology have a good deal of motive to find evidence that would discredit the global warming hypothesis...

because as we look back at the passage, nothing brings more recognition than overthrowing conventional wisdom... some scientists are skeptical of the WIDELY ACCEPTED predictions of global warming... and with HUNDREDS of researchers trying to make breakthroughs in climatology... very FEW find evidence that global warming is unlikely...

in my head, reading this, from the researchers' perspective I could indeed have a great deal of motive to discredit the global warming hypothesis...

    hope this helps a bit
